Simpson did not enter a plea on Wednesday September 19, 2007. He is due back in court later next month. Yale Galanter, Simpson's attorney, said that O. J. Simpson would plead not guilty. Yale Galanter said the three days locked up has been a very harrowing experience for Mr. Simpson.
Simpson was arrested on Sunday, September 16, 2007 and held in protected custody for the past three days. He was arrested in connections with armed robbery at the Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Simpson claims he was only taking back what was his.
Simpson faces seven felony and one misdemeanor charges which includes: conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, coercion with use of a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of deadly weapons, all of which is very serious charges. Yale Galanter said that Mr. Simpson is taking these charges very seriously.
Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong were under the false pretense that they were at the hotel to sell Simpson's items to collectors. Beardsley said that two of Simpson's men ordered him and Fromong, at gunpoint, to hand over items valued at $100,000; after they were frisked for weapons. Simpson, himself, was not in possession of any firearms.
Tom Riccio arranged the meeting between O. J. Simpson, Beardsley and Fromong. Riccio recorded the actions. It is said that Ricco sold the tape to celebrity Web site TMZ.com. Beardsley do not believe the tape is accurate. He believes information is missing.
It seems Riccio has a criminal history, including grand larceny in Florida, receiving stolen goods in California, and possession of stolen goods in Connecticut. He said he is not concerned with how the past will effect his credibility; because everything is on tape.
Bruce Fromong one of the collectors that had a gun pointed at him while Simpson snatched a cell phone from his hand; appeared on TV for interviews on Monday. Sometimes on Monday Fromong suffered a massive heart attack. He was hospitalized in critical conditions. He still remains hospitalized.
