Oakland has some really good displays with the most popular at The Oakland Zoo. These lights will impress your whole family. Visiting holiday light displays will make memories that will last a lifetime for you and your children. In Oakland you can find many holiday light displays in neighborhoods. But nothing compares to a holiday light show. Light displays can be animated which adds an impressive touch. Dusmuir Museum

Location: 2960 Paralta Oaks Court Oakland, California 94615
Times: Weekends from December 6-21 Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 11-5.
Admission: Advance tickets are $11 for adults, Seniors (65+) and Children $7. For tickets at the door, add $4 to advance ticket price.
Feauture: This holiday light display has horse-drawn carriage rides, self guided tours, food, Christmas boutique and the theme is an old-fashioned Christmas. The museum really has made its light display shine for its visitors. Make sure you don't miss this during the holiday season.

The Oakland Zoo - Zoo Lights

Location - Oakland Zoo
Dates: November 28-January 4
Times: 5:30PM-9:00PM on weekdays and closing at 9:30PM on weekends.
The Zoo has been decorated with holiday lights. This is the most popular holiday lights display in Oakland so make sure to visit early in the season so you won't have to wait long to enter the zoo.

Date: Wednesday December 10
Times:12-1PM.
Feature: Chanukah Celebration

Paramount Theatre is featuring Nutcracker
December 19-23.

To visit more holiday lights in surrounding areas visit Fairfield for their Christmas in Downtown at 500 block of El Camino Drive.

Gordon Valley lights 10,000 lights on Christmas Eve and Christmas night from 6PM-10PM.

Also, check your local newspaper for neighborhood light displays. Many people will decorate their yard and houses just as good as displays put on by organizations. Some will post their house to be viewed on http://v.webring.com/hub?ring=christmaslightin.
