"Oath Keepers" Lay Down the Gauntlet
Patriots Arise!
First off, Oath Keepers is self-described as "Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution.
Oath Keepers is an organization whose motto is "Guardians of the Republic. Not on our Watch." If one cannot follow my telegraphed punch, read on and learn.
OathKeepers.org lays out their 10 most fundamental principles on page one of their website. They title their fundamental principles as "Ten Orders We Will Not Obey."
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as "unlawful enemy combatants" or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a "state of emergency" on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to "keep the peace" or to "maintain control."
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
WOW! Is this not crystal clear? This is a very monumentous event in recent American history. Anyone remember any other organizations of lawfully sworn military and peace officers vowing to NOT obey orders from civil authorities?
Of course, a sane person who is concerned for our republic is rejoicing over this. Do readers remember all the times I would opine about what was coming in our nation? When I opined about the possibilities IF the Progressives in power tried to silence us or to use their access to the reins of power to usurp our Constitution?
Remember how I was called "fomenting revolution," and some claimed I was advocating armed insurrection? I was not doing those things at all. I was telling the reader that the nation will not go along with this and will use ANY and ALL means to stop them from their usurpation.
And now the biggest supporters who could ever exist, short of the general population themselves, have risen . Oath Keepers has put on notice, and none to gingerly might I add, those who must obey the laws and who have sworn an oath to support the Constitution, or they will see themselves tossed from office in their PJ's like certain Marxists we all heard of a few months ago down in Honduras.
I am reveling in the beauty of this. I am rejoicing that they have been put on notice by not only the people, but those they would try to get to enforce any usurpation on their part. This must suck for Progressive leaders - got close too. Darn!. Ya thought you had pulled it off, but like your cancerous ideology, fell flat, and all within sight of the finishing line to boot! Tough break. Does this stick in their craws, I wonder, gleefully?
Do I seem sarcastic here? Guess I just don't like being poked with a stick. I do not like when folks tell me I am wrong about history and tradition, and all to make their ideology seem more palpable. It is they who either do not grasp the truth or are misrepresenting it.
Progressive leaders are on the wrong side of American tradition, The wrong side of American history and belief in our exceptionalism. They are purposely misleading in their misrepresentation of what the Framer's were trying to do in the founding of this nation, and specifically the framing of the Constitution.
And most importantly, they are wrong that they will be able to pull this off. They have failed, fell short, flat and any other characterization one desires. Progressive leaders and their ardent supporters have been called out, as it were. Oath Keepers is telling them, loudly, clearly and completely unequivocally, it ain't happening.
Obama and Progressive leaders have a desire to destroy our traditions and install the new reality they seek, but don't have the cahones to admit in public what they want. So they defame and work by dark of night. Hence the reason for the hurry to enact a health reform NOW , but it won't go in effect 'til 2013! Why the hurry?
Current Progressives leaders and their die hard supporters are pushing to get it all past us before we can stop them, but they have failed. Now we have 'em by the short hairs. I say we pull til they beg for relief.
I encourage all to click on my link and read about these noble people and what they will do if pushed. It will see an end to Progressivism, perhaps forever, at least in the US.
By way of disclaimer, this piece is directed at Progressive leaders, and NOT the rank and file Democrat or Liberal supporter. This was in no way an attempt to defame noble Americans who are from the Left side of the aisle. But if one is all for all the Progressive nonsense, go ahead and get mad at me, cause I was surely hoping to poke ya with that stick y'all always poking me with for a change. Not so much fun, is it?
As I learn more about Oath Keepers I will relay such in future articles. Have faith friends. It ain't over

Post a CommentAnd if and when upholding those oaths becomes necessary, I will be right there with them. However, I see no blockading of cities or concentrations camps in the future. Those who do need to stop watching Beck. Sigh.
The oaths listed are wonderful. Many of those very concepts are entailed in futuristic stories where the government indeed did such things (like barricading cities, squelching free speech) and the military obeyed. Those stories show how allowing our government to do such things often ends up in anarchy. To be fair however, the principle(s) of the Oathkeepers is great, but the integrity of it will only stand as strong as the integrity of the individuals who profess to live by those oaths. Unfortunately this means there will be those indiviuduals who will not act with integrity and thereby misrepresent the group and warp the perspective on the oaths. Here's to hoping the majority of OathKeepers stand with strong integrity.
One point BETTY - the oath sworn to the US Constitution is to the document and NOT the people in gov't. As well, an illegal order is, BY LAW, to be refused. Look it up. OathKeepers are only proclaiming they WILL NOT obey orders to do anything the Const. does not specify. Const. says' "Right to bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED," so if, in the extremely unlikely event and order were issued to disarm the populace, such and order would NOT be followed. Is this scary to you? Why? The oath ids tot he document and NOT to the usurpers in DC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it?

And there is no way, I'm going to be united with a bunch of religious right wackos who believe in myths as actual fact and decry science. They would have us go back to the dark ages when reason was lost. I guess that remark would be aimed at the Robert Lee guy? United with who..delusional thinking as usual on the part of those with their head buried in the sand about who the American people are..They are not you.
Anarchy is when the individual decides that his ideas of what are right for a government takes precedence over the freely elected representatives of the people. If your oathkeepers and yourself, would like to go somewhere where elections are rigged, then go, But if your oath keeper is holding a job in this government, then they take their loyalty is the government. Perhaps they need to find another job. And let those without work for their elected president, or do you no longer believe in a democracy when someone you don't like it elected by a majority vote of the people of this country? Are you saying that sir? You want an uprisng, an overthrow of an elected government?

It's a publicity stunt, and it's BS, and it's nothing else. Funny, some of 'em have no problem beating down a protester or two, or the like. And Betty is exactly right - Anarchy - coupled with monumental stupidity on a grand scale, with showmanship thrown in...here's a question...where were the "oath keepers" when anti-war protesters were cordoned off, people were arrested for the t shirt they were wearing, frankly, they should be ashamed of themselves, and you should be ashamed for being, to use your words, petulant and childish.
