Obama Aide John Brennan Claims Americans Who Criticize Obama Policies "serve the Goals of Al-Qaeda"

Marc Schenker
Obama's top counterterrorism aide John Brennan has come out and claimed that Americans who criticize Obama's anti-terror policies serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Writing an opinion piece in USA Today that can only be described as being all at once hyper-defensive, angry and whining, John Brennan clearly wanted to pen a defiant defense of Obama's thus-far inadequate, anti-terror policies. However, what emerged instead was an almost paranoid harangue which not only stretched the bounds of reason, but, more importantly, also called his fellow Americans, essentially, abettors of al-Qaeda's goals of killing Americans and destroying the US homeland. This is the same John Brennan who was also captured on videotape denying there was a war against terror going on.

Reaction to John Brennan's abusive allegation towards his fellow Americans was both swift and not taken sitting down by any means. When informed of Brennan's outburst, GOP vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Kit Bond, responded by calling Brennan's opinion piece a part of the "political mess at the White House" that puts the US at risk. Not content with stopping there and merely chiding Brennan, Bond went further and called for his actual resignation, telling National Review Online that he has no more confidence in him and that he has no credibility any longer. Blatantly, this was just the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for Bond, seeing as how Brennan's other questionable decisions included actually standing in the way of plans to go after and kill Osama Bin Laden in the late 90s.

Continuing the GOP onslaught later in the day, Rudy Giuliani appearing on Hannity accused Brennan of continuing to mishandle national security. Further, on the issue of Brennan's opinion piece itself, the former mayor branded it as making no sense at all. Giuliani was referring to yet another staggering bombshell in the Brennan opinion piece, one in which Brennan had the audacity to claim that there's virtually no difference between military and civilian custody. Yeah...except for those watchama call 'em...oh, yeah: Miranda Rights! In civilian custody, of course, terrorists clam up because they get lawyers and treated like normal criminals, which immediately blocks the ability to collect intelligence to stop future attacks from them. So there can be no doubt about Brennan's lie and wrongness here.

Making this charge of Brennan's-in and of itself almost tantamount to a charge of treason-more obnoxious and unacceptable is how it reveals for something like the hundredth time the incurable hypocrisy and double-standards of the left. Doesn't anyone remember the "good old days" when Bush was doing such a bang-up job of protecting the US? Well, true to their abnormal nature, liberals were upset at his success then and continually smeared him for political gain. To deviously insulate themselves from criticism, liberals and Democrats would always scream, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism!!!" Thus, they were able to get away with mercilessly assailing Bush with every name under the sun. Now, though, as witnessed with Brennan's dirty-playing accusation and even the Democrat misconduct last summer during the health care town halls, if you have valid criticism against Obama's policies...you're a traitor and probably a racist, too!

John Brennan has been exposed before, just in the last few months in fact, for being involved in activities which don't make him look trustworthy as someone who's charged with helping to protect the US from terrorism. Besides politicizing his role as counterterrorism aide to the point where he's basically now just another White House mouthpiece echoing Obama's talking points, he's also been captured on video denying that there's a War on Terror currently in progress. So with this volley in his opinion piece, it should come as no surprise that Brennan has again confirmed that he's not up to doing an even half-competent job as an anti-terror aide.

Brennan is an idiot. It appears to be obvious. The person empowering the terrorists is our President. Savage is correct, liberalism is a mental disorder.

Good grief. Thank you for taking the place of the mainstream media that isn't reporting news anymore.
