Obama Blatantly Sells Circuit Court Judgeship to Brother of 'undecided' Congressman
A Previous "No" Vote is Suddenly "Undecided" After Brothers' Nomination.
At the same moment Obama was hosting ten wayward Democrats in the White House, it was announced that the brother of one of those Congressmen would be nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Congressman Jim Matheson of Utah.. up to now an opponent of ObamaCare is suddenly considered to be "undecided" on the question of the take-over of America's health care system. In an obvious and sleazy move designed to sway the votes of the ten mis-behaving Democrats, The White House hosted a get together with the president in hopes of twisting arms and swaying the votes in the House of Representatives toward insuring every vote cast is done so only in the "approved" manner. Whatever it takes.. is apparently what Obama will provide.
On Wednesday The White House announced that Scott Matheson, Congressman Jim Matheson's brother, will be nominated to the prestigious judicial post in what appears to be a clear attempt to buy the congressman's health care vote. This comes on the heals of other obvious vote-buying gigs such as the now famous "Louisiana purchase" which bought off Senator Mary Landrieu and the "Cornhusker Kickback", which bought off Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska.
And the sleaze continues..
In a related story, Democratic Congressman Joe Sestak, (Pa.) revealed that the Obama White House had offered him the job of Secretary of the Navy if he would withdraw from running against Arlen Specter in the Pennsylvania Democratic Senatorial primary. Obama has endorsed and raised money for Specter and the democratic leadership has also made it clear that Specter is their man.. a position that followed Specters' switch from the GOP to the democratic party.. and his critical vote on supporting Obama's $787 billion stimulus package. A Sestak, withdrawal would be extremely convenient for The White House in averting a long and costly primary fight over Specters' seat.. and like the brother of the newly nominated judge.. would provide for The Obama White House.. just one more bought and paid for vote.. advancing a bit more, it's war on America.
