Obama Caravan - Take 1

Petes
The 0bama Caravan marched on -

Yes we can! Yes we can!

The primary battle was tough but not much bother

For who can withstand 0bama's smother?

Yet there she stood,

The greatest and fiercest of them all -

The big, bad "wolf" and last to fall.

But fall she did,

And soon became a part of the gig.

The caravan moved on -

Yes we can! Yes we can!

The stage was set,

The opponent charged,

His whipping too was coming yet.

But this was no old fool -

A tested warrior, former POW -

Leader true and true.

His armor on, his sword ready,

His cry was loud and clear -

Yes we can! Yes we can - too!

He got the lady,

Some said, "Not ready!"

But she would not those voices hear.

She played her part,

Won many hearts - lost some too -

And soon the tide had turned.

But not for long...

The 0bama Caravan

Marched on and on -

Yes we can! Yes we can!

A vicious media

Attackers more,

Lunged at the lady,

Her stance and family.

She winced, she bore

She stood and tore -

Hoping, praying,

Opponent's fans to allure

While the cry went out,

Yes we can! Yes we can - too!

To Pennsylvania and more,

The duo roamed

Looking for a glimmer

A light, a dream

But the signs were telling

The west was lost

And just about everything

Was up for a toss.

And then it came!

The bottom fell out,

The banks in a muck

Economy and government started to cluck.

Further still it plunged

Panic set in

Who will lead us?

A thunderous chorus!

And the caravan went along

Marching on and on -

Yes we can! Yes we can!

The big night came

Numbers rolled in

An evening awashed with speculating -

But not for long.

The Obama caravan rolled on,

A big victory was won

The sound was ever clear -

Yes we can! Yes we can!

And we did!

Meanwhile

Far across the plains

The tested warrior and his lady

Pulled to a stop, their train -

The blame was on

Disappointment sank in

While a faint whisper was heard above the din -

I thought we could. I thought we could.

The Obama Caravan

Marched on and on -

Yes we can! Yes we can!
