On Friday the 13th during Ramadan celebrations at the White House, Barack Obama announced his support for Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf's plans to build a mega mosque, 600-feet from the North Tower's foot print at Ground Zero. Rauf is the president of the Cordoba Initiative.
A couple of weeks ago, when asked about the president's position on the issue, WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs had this to say, "This is rightly a matter for New York City and the local community to decide."
Further pressing about President Obama's stance to recognize sensitivity for the 9/11 victims resulted in further dodging and the canned "it's a local issue" response.
As Obama's press secretary was busy spinning the company line, the administration was in bed with the radical imam of the Cordoba Initiative. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tapped Rauf to go to the Middle East, a tripfunded by the taxpayers, to foster "greater understanding" about Islam and Muslim communities in the United States.
The imam behind the proposed mosque and Islamic center near Ground Zero stated he will turn to Arab and Muslim nations around the world to help finance the estimated $100 million project.
As one Washington Times editorial puts it, the U.S. underwrites fundraising tour for Islamic shrine at Ground Zero.
Yes, the Bush administration was also involved with Imam Rauf; the Obama administration is continuing those failed policies today.
Before the festivities of Ramadan moved President Obama to announce his support for the imam's Initiative, the State Department posted a warm embrace for the Ground Zero mosque by NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg on its website, America.gov.
Many progressive officials, including the president, cite religious freedom as the basis of their support for the mosque near Ground Zero; ironically they express such support while ignoring the freedom suppressing tenets of Islamic Sharia law. Our framers never intended the Constitution to be a suicide pact.
Adherents of Sharia law have long built mosques on the most sacred sites of those they have conquered and why some opponents of Imam Rauf's mosque refer to it as a Victory Mosque.
On 9/11/2001, the political ideology that is embedded within Islam manifested itself by attacking our nation, slaughtering nearly 3,000 innocents working and visiting in the World Trade Center (WTC).
Ignoring the political ideology attached to Islam, again, will be to our peril.
From the rubble of the WTC, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, president of the Cordoba Initiative, called for Islamic dawa and Sharia law, the title of his book boasts such calls to action.
Opposing the nefarious designs of the Cordoba Initiative is not an affront to the first amendment; it is a champion of those rights.
After President Obama's endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque, leaders of Hamas weighed in with their endorsement as well, insisting Muslims "have to build" it there.
Feisal Abdul Rauf refuses to denounce terror organizations such as Hamas or even criticize the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). Rauf's father has been linked to the MB; an organization, as stated by founder Hassan al-Banna, that desires to reclaim Islam's manifest destiny, an empire, stretching from Spain (Cordoba) to Indonesia.
Do you believe the name of Rauf's project, The Cordoba Initiative, is simply a benign term?

Microsoft Word defines Initiative as follows: in• i• tia• tive 1. ability to decide independently what to do. 2. process for suggesting new law by petition.
Pair the once benign term with Cordoba and the Initiative to reclaim Islam's manifest destiny, an empire, stretching from Spain (Cordoba) to Indonesia becomes more realistic, especially when Sharia is the new law in a compliant U.S.
Additionally, a goal of the MB in the U.S. is "settlement," a form of jihad aimed at destroying Western civilization from within and allowing for the victory of Islam over other religions.
In 1987, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin founded Hamas an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Holy Land Foundation (HLF) was the largest Islamic charity in America. In 2008, HLF was found guilty of giving more than $12 million to Hamas.
During the HLF trial it was discovered the Muslim Brotherhood also created the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), and both Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) and al Qaeda are offshoot organizations. CAIR and ISNA are un-indicated co-conspirators.
Remember the book that Feisal Rauf wrote, the one we referenced to earlier, where from the rubble of the WTC Rauf calls for Islamic dawa and Sharia law? IIIT and ISNAfinanced Rauf's book.
President Obama is also connected to ISNA via Ingrid Mattson. Barack Hussein Obama invited Ingrid Mattson, president of ISNA, to his inauguration to pray over his family.
In 2003 a Malaysian court ruled that, under Sharia law, a man may divorce his wife via text messaging as long as the message was clear and unequivocal.
The Cordoba Initiative receives funding from the Malaysian government and in 2006 Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf created the Sharia Project.
Last weekend, the Taliban, under Sharia law, stoned to death an Afghan couple; their offense was falling in love and eloping.
Do you believe the mosque and Islamic center supporting Sharia law is merely a NYC issue? Were the attacks on 9/11 that created Ground Zero merely a local issue?
And speaking of local issues, what are the NY officials doing about this travesty?
Polls have indicated that most NYC voters are against the erection of the Ground Zero mosque.
NY Governor Paterson is offering public land as an alternative site location. The governor's office acknowledged that they couldn't simply "provide" public land for a religious group and therefore must "competitively sell state land by bidding."
The developers of the mosque to be erected near Ground Zero strongly objected and insulted Paterson, by claiming his remarks were...wait for it...bigoted. They have since stated they are open to discussing the matter with the governor.
Supporters and creators of Rauf's Victory Mosque use the sharp edge of the race/bigot card as a weapon to scare opponents into silence. Freedom loving Americans, however, will not be silenced.
The Cordoba Initiative is a registered NY State charity and as such their books fall under the jurisdiction of the NY Attorney General. Rauf and his cohorts via SoHo properties spent $4.85 million in cash for the building.
An additional $100 million is needed for renovations. The Cordoba Initiative shows a mere $22,000 in assets. One doesn't need to be a math whiz to figure this one out.
So, what is the source of funding for this terror embracing Initiative? That remains the 100-million-dollar question.
Rick Lazio the Republican gubernatorial candidate for NY challenged Andrew Cuomo, the NY Attorney General and the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, to do his job and investigate.
Andrew Cuomo rejected that challenge and Mayor Bloomberg called it un-American.
During Ramadan, which was on Friday, the president announced his agreement with the NY officials. On Saturday, Obama attempted to qualify his support by claiming he was only referring to religious freedom and not to the wisdom of Rauf's mosque near Ground Zero.
The leader of the free world, commander-in-chief of a military actively engaged in armed combat with Islamic Jihadists, is vacillating and equivocating on an issue in which a radical imam enjoying obvious ties to terror related groups endeavors to erect a Victory Mosque near Ground Zero, the site of attack by Islamic Jihadists.
Nancy Pelosi is committed to the notion it's a local issue and reiterated Obama's stance regarding religious freedom, but she didn't stop there and called for an investigation of those opposed to the Ground Zero mosque. Harry Reid surprisingly says the Ground Zero mosque should relocate; he is campaigning hard for reelection.
While the left excoriates the opponents of the Ground Zero mosque, they don't have the guts to question the motives of Raheel Raza, author of the book Their Jihad...Not My Jihad! And board member of the Muslim Canadian Congress. Raheel Raza eloquently summed up the issue during an interview with Bill O'Reilly, view it here.
About 2 min. 10 seconds in, Raza had this to say, "Mayor Bloomberg and bleeding heart white liberals like him don't understand the battle we moderate Muslims are faced with in terms of confronting radical Islam and Islamization, and political Islam in North America, which has only grown since 9-11 because of political correctness, and people, because of their politically vested agendas, not speaking out against issues like this."
Local issue? This is about as much of a local issue as jihadists hijacking planes and slamming them into the WTC killing nearly 3,000 innocents was a local issue.
In addition to acknowledging the sensitivities for the 9/11 victims and their families, it is about our national defense, maintaining our freedoms by rejecting Sharia law and terror friendly groups while we are actively engaged in armed combat with Islamic fanatics.
Unfortunately, the community-organizer-in-chief's loyalty is misplaced.
Never Forget!

Post a CommentIndeed Tony our founding fathers, our Constitutional framers NEVER meant for us to sign a "suicide-pact"! And now we are supposed to have our Christian pastors tell us Obamacare is divinely ordered??? I think not!!! Maybe he could think clearer if he had not been straddling that unholy fence for so long!! I'm sharing this!!!
I concur, Obamas Idenity was lost along with his passport in Indonesia. Whoever sold that building to him was also an enemy of the US. This subject is bringing the true nature of Islam and basis of their intent to rule the world. And Obama is making sure that happens.
Islam loves to put mosques on the sites of other religion's sacred sites, ergo the Mosque that sits atop the Temple in Jerusalem. This makes me really angry.
Excellent, Tony!!
A lose/lose proposition for anyone involved - no matter what their point of view. It's like asking ,"What part of the funeral did you find most fin?"
I agree with Agnes. It might be legal, but there is the entire city of New York to build one at. Why there of all places!?
It is legal for the to build, but it is in bad taste.
I am disappointed that they are considering this
Yeah, probably not going to go over well come reelection time...
I think it obscene that they are even considering this.
