Obama Does Not Have a Clue on How to Be a Commander in Chief
How is that Change You Can Believe in Working Out for Everyone.
I will say first and foremost that I am very aware that George W. Bush made the decision to go to war in Iraq. I actually supported the war initially because of the threat a dictator like Saddam Hussein posed to the free world. There was faulty intelligence on weapons of mass destruction. To be fair the Clinton administration and other world powers believed that Saddam Hussein possessed such weapons. I am not a big fan of George Bush, but I do think he was a much better suited Commander in Chief that Obama is. Now like many Americans. I am revisiting that opinion. I will say that it does not matter if you support the war or not you should support the men and women who fighting it. It was a common theme during the 2008 Presidential Campaign that Barack Hussein Obama was very much against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think after 9/11 anyone can be against getting the Taliban as they are the ones who hid Bin Laden. He voted against going to war. I may not like many things about him, but I will say that he did stick by his principles on this until recently. You cant just cut and run. I think he is now realizing that being President is not as easy as he thought it would be. There are people that say that statement is not fair, but for him to run after two years at the national level this is defiantly with merit to say he thought it was easy. Many who voted for Obama because they thought he would magically bring the troops home against all common sense are disappointed.
Now there will always be people who will dislike or like Obama regardless of his merits and actions. I believe in giving him a chance. I think he had one and is blowing it in every angle. One such was is the war. His top General, Stanley McCrystal, has said that he needs more troops to stabilize the country and hope to achieve victory and stamping out the Taliban. Most intelligent leaders will listen to their top generals on military issues but not Obama. General McCrystal pointed to the success in the War in Iraq with a troop surge as the basis for the need for the troops. He believes that it could be a show of weakness by failure in Afghanistan. This is also getting very rough at home for Obama on this issue. Democrats in congress are very upset with Obama. Some are going as far as threatening to withhold funding. This would be really stupid since it puts American troops into jeopardy. The costs of the war are compounding this debate. It has been estimated that each soldier will cost one million per year. I think that is pretty bad as it is.
Two liberal Democrats have proposed a tax on successful Americans to pay for the war.
David Obey of Wisconsin and Carl Levin of Michigan believe that is one way to get us out of war. I want to get of war as well, but this idea is really stupid and further demonstrates the tax and spend philosophy of many modern members of the Democratic Party. They want a "graduated tax" on income were poor people pay as low as 1% of their income and the very wealthy pay 5% of their incomes. I am far from rich but you can't build a society by trying to destroy as part of it. The Democrats try this all the time by wanting to pay for their liberal agenda by taxing Americans who work hard and make money. People are considered wealthy by Obama and his allies if they make more than $250,000 per year. Now that is now much when you factor in a person might live in a high cost state like New York. They could have four children in college and other things that make that money not a great as some think.
I hope a way to win this war and bring our troops home safely is figured out. I don't have faith that Obama will do it. There is a big difference between making speeches and leading a country. I think he is realizing it. He already has many people ticked off over the healthcare system he is trying to force us into. There are a couple politicians that helped start debate on it that will probably be voted out of office. I am sure they know that the first vote was the vote for the bill. There are too many democrats not to be able to get the 50 votes they will need with Joe Biden passing the tie breaker. There are many people starting to think that he will not get a second term. I think he will. Not because of merit but because the majority of blacks will mindlessly follow him because of his skin color. There are also many white people who think by not voting for him makes them racist instead of having pride in their country and wanting to make and keep it great. I do think there will be plenty of liberals getting kicked out of congress.
Whether you like Obama, the Democrats, or Republicans I would encourage everyone to keep our troops in your prayers.
God Bless you and God help and Bless America.

Post a CommentIn the past Americans have paid for wars with taxes. The borrow-and-spend Bush administration chose to pass the war expense on to future generations. Bad idea.
