Obama Hoping for Mass Amnesia Before November "Reconciliation"

Robert Lee Alford
The President is trying to put on the best face for the mid-term elections.

This is why he put on the dog and pony show last week, disguised as a forum of some kind, you know the ones where everyone gets together in an honest exchange of ideas, you know; what we pay them for.

He came into office promising transparency with the coverage of major functions even coverage on CSPAN.

He would like for you to forget that this did not happen, instead Republicans were systematically kept out of the process.

He pledged non-partisan politics had to end: What really happened was that his administration ushered in an era of partisanship unmatched by any other. Until the election of Brown in Boston ended his reign of terror by taking away the lock on super majority in the senate, nothing could stop or even slow him in his Sherman like march to huge government.

He is now going to use a cowards method "Reconciliation - which only requires a simple majority" to ram his health legislature down the throats of Americans, who in recent polls overwhelmingly don't want it.

He hopes that we forget his promise to put America to work with, among other things, an ambitious jobs bill. Instead, he bailed out the banks with tax payers cash and sent our children the bill.

He was going to provide strong leadership in the war and make sound decisions to keep us safe and end it: What really happened is, he allowed the enemy to know our methods of interrogation and threatened to prosecute the true patriot men and women who risked their lives to gain valuable actionable intelligence from enemy combatants in the field and at GITMO.

He promised to set America on the road to recovery: What really happed was, the housing market continued to fall and paychecks disappeared as he joked and teleprompted his way from one, one-liner to another with his let them eat cake mentality.

He promised unity but the country has never been so divided on as many fronts. But there is one ray of hope beginning to shine through his cloud of broken promises and that is, that most Americans polled, now want change again. They have become unified in the "Throw the bums out" mentality and are waiting to deliver this promise to the Congress this fall.

It is a shame that this bright light of hope turned into a dim reminder of business as usual in less than a year and sadder still that although Democrats are franticly jumping ship and running for cover, the outrage of the people will not be forgotten and many good careers will end.

When the President finally pushes through this last nail in the Democratic coffin called health care, he will simultaneously take on the soul responsibility for the greatest failure in U.S. political history.

Having total control of Congress means that you are totally to blame for breaking your own promises. No matter what condition he found the country in, he could have at least kept his word.

There will be no mass amnesia this fall. The people will remember to stash firewood in the barn, clean out the gutters and to dress warm. They will remember broken promises and they will also remember to vote, not for change we can believe in but change that has the slightest possibility of happening.

Thanks for continuing to tell the truth as you see it.

The proof is in the pudding isn't it. Great article!

I wish I would get amnesia about Obama being President. Then I could live in ignorant bliss.

Nicely focused on the issues. President Obama's team makes the same mistake of making everything an emotional issue--especially health care. That always pleases the base but, for the rest of us, it's about the rational business. I don't think they're capable of buttoning up and tightening up--it's all about image, ego, and emotional appeal. The President needs to fire some people who are giving him bad advice. Of course, he's the one following it...

    How disappointing.

My memory is pretty clear when it comes to screwing me. Oh, yeah, and the generations to come.

Great article! I have no time for Obama, his agenda or buddies. There's 2 choices. They want America to fall on its butt or they are incompetent.

Great article. It is sad when one person promises so much just to be elected when in reality, he or she will never have the power to control all of it. Between the health care bill and our giving to other countries, Americans should wonder what is on Obama's agenda. How much is enough? The changes cost Americans and somehow benefit businesses. What about the individuals?

His promises mean nothing. Nice work on the article.
