Obama - McCain Political Haiku Contest Winners Announcement

James Kerley
A huge THANK YOU to all who participated in this contest in any regard. This was an exciting and engaging contest, and hopefully we will have many more contests of this nature to come. Keep your eyes peeled for a political limerick contest next month, as well as exciting Halloween themed creative writing contests. The quality of submissions for the haiku contest were stellar, and this was a very difficult decision for all involved. A big thanks to all our CPs for helping to pick out contest entries, and to the AC editors who pitched in as well.

Without further ado, here are your winners --

Pro-McCain Haiku Winner:

Lenora Murdock's Call for McCain and Palin.

Pro-Obama Haiku Winner:

Shawn Struck with his Sarah Palin Haiku.

Independent or Third Party Haiku Winner:

Justice Lives Not, with Obama McCain's Crazy Train.

Congratulations to all our winners! This was a tough, tough, choice.

And a few honorable mentions:

Donna Porter's Independent entry.

Carol Bengle Gilbert's Pro-Obama entry.

Carly Hart's Pro-McCain entry.

Congratulations! The entries for this content had many well written and well voiced entries. Check the Prose category page in the coming days and weeks for revolving features of contest entries, as there were many worth featuring.
