Obama Needs to Start Listening to the American People and Quit Thumbing His Nose at the Voters and People of the Country

Making History is Not as Important as Doing What is Good for the Country

This article is more a rant. It is from the heart. I will more pretty articles later. I just had to get what myself and many American people are thinking off my chest. I have been following the things this disgrace of a president we have in Obama since he was running for office. I realize many people might think that anyone who does not like the policies of Obama are racist or something like that. I disagree. I did not agree with a good bit that President Bush did, but no one called anyone a racist then. This is typical liberal race baiting politics as usual. If they keep things up Obama might be the first half white president, but the way he is going he might be the last.

Basically Obama is trying to use a loophole that really was not meant for legislation like this called reconciliation. This would mean that they can pass the bill with 51 votes in the senate instead of 60 and the possibility of a filibuster to do what the American people want done and that is this bill stopped. There are good ideas in the bill. I will not dispute that. Like most liberal ideas the thought of how to pay for it is escaping many of the liberals. I know they say they are going to pay for it by cutting Medicare expenses and raising taxes. That is about the stupidest thing in this economy and I can't believe Obama does not see the writing on the wall. This will cause lots of people to get voted off. People like those disgraces Lincoln and Landrieu are in trouble even if they vote against the bill since they voted to invoke cloture. Republicans knew that this is what could happen by voting for cloture. The bills that did get through only passed by like three votes in the house and cloture was right at 60 votes. It was a razor thin pyrrhic victory, but will cost many democrats their seats. This has shown that they don't care what the American people think. They will do what the "messiah" wants them to in order to give him a win. It seems they forget about the high unemployment rate and the fact that there are various wars and conflicts we are fighting. This of course topped with the issue of a nuclear Iran throwing the Middle East in more chaos than it already is. I think those are more pressing. Americans also are against this bill by more than 10% in most case. Most of the people supporting it are not supporting it, but Obama. You think the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts would wake him up.

There does need to be some changes, but this is not something that should or could be done overnight. For one thing with free enterprise and competition you will often get better service. Eventually Obama's takeover will result in a single payer program that will have inferior care. There will not be a benefit to someone spending several hundred thousand dollars to become a doctor if they can't make any money. Yes oaths to help people, but most doctors do not chose that profession because they want to be in debt, have to work and study hard as hell, pay more than their fair share to pay for liberal programs and be broke because of a wild idea for national healthcare.

The quality of care will go down. It typically does with anything controlled by the federal government. Take the post office for instance. If you have ever had a problem you will notice many employees almost have a sense of entitlement were since they work for the government they feel like they can do what they want. I am sure it will be the same in the medical field. Many good doctors may go to other countries were they can still make money. This is what Obama is not thinking about when he is trying to monkey (no pun intended) with the system without good solid ideas. The fact that most of this does not kick in for several years while the cost kicks in right away should tell even the most ardent Obama supporter should know this is not right or what people want. Most people who support this just are more concerned with Obama getting a win and following him blindly. If someone really likes Obama (they must hate America) they should be telling him to put the breaks on this and should not be even thinking about reconciliation. Why is it that he says "waiting another year will do nothing"? It actually will. It will give him the chance to ram the bill through without losing the seats. After 2010 this bill will stand as much of a chance of passing as Obama would have of being elected President when our country still was a great nation.

Obama and America need to wake up. This is not a good idea. The polls point to that. The Congressional Budget Office sees flaws. The only one who does not is the moron in the house formerly known as the White House. The sad thing is that I think Obama is doing for racists what Jesus did for the Christian church. He should think on that for a minute. There are many people who did not think he could do the job and so far he has not proven them wrong. He did pull off one of the biggest cons in history in being elected, but that does not a good president make. Any vote for a democrat at the national level this year is just a blank check for Obama. Look at Arkansas and Louisiana, both states voted heavily for McCain and are not Obama friendly. They are also opposed to the healthcare bill in all major polls yet some of their former senators (once re-election rolls around) don't care and voted against what their people wanted. So did Ben "show me the money" Nelson of Nebrask
