Obama, the Neo-Trojan Horse

Barack, to Thine Own Self Be True

Amanda Keller
All of the mouthpieces for the Obama campaign are beside themselves. How dare the conservative electorate be angry, irate, spitting mad! In the world according to liberals, Obama has answered all of the questions and this non-issue of his past associations is merely taking time away from the real issues. For me, the real issue is, who is Barack Obama? I've put more scrutiny regarding babysitters for my children than the mainstream press has put to Obama's background and ideology. When Obama was first confronted with explaining his association with Rev. Wright, Obama claimed Wright as his spiritual mentor, someone he'd never turn away from. As the reality of who Rev. Wright is and what he stands for came to light, Obama dropped him like a cold chicken bone, telling the media he'd had no idea during the twenty some odd years he'd sat in Wright's pews that Wright held such an anti-American philosophy (videos sold in the lobby with all the "best of Rev. Wright" but Obama still had no clue). Either Obama is a really dense dude or he thinks we're a bunch of zombies that will bend at the direction of the nightly news talking heads. The spin of the media is very effective and does disguise the truth but only for so long. Eventually the audience hears an excuse that just doesn't add up then another and another. With Obama, the things that don't add up is overwhelming. The press refuses to investigate beyond Obama's vague responses such as, "He's just a guy in the neighborhood". That's the answer, taken no further, offering no answer at all. The media bobs its head, smiles and reminds Obama he's wonderful.

Finally the paper trail exposing the degree to which Obama and Ayers are connected bubbles up to the top, the left cries foul, saying if this were important it would have been brought up months ago. Dearies, months ago, road block after road block was set up, denying the handful of journalists who still carry the curiosity gene to reveal the degree of the Obama/Ayers relationship. What has been discovered, which is much more than a relationship of neighbors passing in the street, is merely the tip of the radical left iceberg that exists within the Chicago political machine. Obama knew exactly who Ayers was/is. Again, Obama's claim that he was only 8 when Ayers committed the terrorists acts has zero moral relevance. Ayers has publicly been unrepentant and for Obama plead ignorance to this is an insult to us all. I repeat, either Obama is a dense dude or he pegs Americans for mindless twits.

The recent media/Obama campaign criticism focuses on the horrible vicious things McCain supporters are spewing during campaign rallies of late. This phony criticism is nothing short of a continuation of the con job. McCain is painted as a racist when frustrated crowds speak their peace, their First Amendment peace. John McCain, in an attempt to quell the fury, asks for calm. But this charade has gone beyond calm and beyond the ability of McCain to tamp it down. The people feel they've been played by the press and ultimately, by Obama. Why is getting to the truth about Obama like pulling teeth? One can only surmise the teeth are rotten.

If Obama believes liberal ideology will take our country to a better place then make the case, be honest about the agenda. Don't attempt a Trojan horse with America. I would respect Obama more if he would come out and say he does believe in a leftist agenda, that capitalism is a failed ideology, that the change he believes in translates to a brand of socialism that he believes would work in America. Instead, I see a man who claims to be a uniter (batting zero on that one), who wants to rise above politics and regain America's status as the shining city on the hill yet capitalist ideals not socialist created the shining city. Obama does all he can to avoid the term socialism. He never mentions wealth redistribution yet his tax cut is truly a rebate that will take money from one end of the tax bracket and give it to folks who pay no taxes at all. Obama does not spell this out because it is socialism. He believes Americans have to be tricked into socialism because their backward mindset would never go for it by name. He cries dirty politics when his own prior words and deeds are held up for closer examination. He cuts ties (temporarily) with those in his past that are unmistakable leftists and anti-American figures. He and his surrogates will not answer whether he has donated any money to ACORN. "No" would be an easy word to say. His past was built on socialist ideals but he owns up to none of it consciously.

Meanwhile, Conservatives scream at McCain to expose Obama for what he truly is. However, exposing Obama is not McCain's job. Our press has done possibly the grandest disservice in the name of a free press than any other press in history. Journalists report ad nauseum the details of the Republican Vice President's daughters teen pregnancy but ask Obama softball questions with no follow ups. There has been no interviews of Obama that resembled the inquisitions rendered upon Palin. The seething and condescending expressions on the faces of Gibson and Couric during their Palin interviews were laughable if only they weren't so pathetic. Neither interview provided insight into the political mindset of Palin. Instead each interview was designed to focus on minutae that could serve no other purpose but to make Palin look small. Obama interviews have all been equally worthless in regards to substance but in contrast were specifically crafted to showcase a personality rather than a mind. The press has turned their pens and typewriters in for pom poms. They have one player they are reporting for, cheering for.

Americans are beginning to catch on to the grift. Every day more and more becomes clear about Obama inspite of the mainstream media. Granted, there have been some scurrilous lies spread on the Internet about Obama but those too have been sorted and flushed out. Finally the truth is beginning to emerge. Ironically, I've observed the more truth that surfaces, the more makeup Obama is putting on his face. Coincidence? Freaky if nothing else. I believe more will be known about Barack Obama by election day, much more than he intended. Will the information be enough to cost him the election? Or will the real story draw more to his cause? These answers are yet to be given. One thing I do know, Obama is not a man who owns his past. Like the chameleon, Obama re-invents himself to suit his surroundings. He is a creature preferring smoke and mirrors to tell his story. Eventually the smoke (from the cigarettes Obama still smokes though he said he quit) will clear, the mirrors will be shattered (making it impossible to put on more pancake makeup) and there standing alone will be the real Barack Obama. What an introduction that promises to be!

Amanda, It's sad but true that you are exactly right. Obama is the libs new hero, he is their easter bunny and their santa... I am waiting for the day that they discover that he won't bring them baskets of candy. I'm waiting to see what they do when he eats their milk and cookies and leaves... it will happen, wait and see.

Oh, Amanda. I wish you had more viewers! Is it OK if I tell a few people about your column? Meanwhile here's another guy writing brilliantly on the myth of Obama - check this out from Josh Greenberger: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1103039/the_barack_obama_con_job.html?cat=75. Love your angle about Obama being a trojan horse. Just read an article from "the other side" about McCain being too mean - which is ironic when an audience recently booed him for being too nice in the last debate!

Obama certainly has several close connections that are at the very least very sketchy. The media clearly wants him to pull this out so they are staying mum. If this were McCain, it would be top news every night.
