The Obama Nobel Peace Prize was accepted today. The Obama Nobel Peace Prize acceptance also included tough questions about war and peace. As the Barack Obama Nobel Peace Prize is accepted, his wife and First Lady Michelle Obama appears on Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009.

USA Today reports on the Obama Nobel Peace Prize and what Barack said upon acceptance. "I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated. In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage."

Obama expressed deep gratitude and humility and said the Obama Nobel Peace Prize, "speaks to out highest aspiration ... For all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice."

Obama also defended the Afghanistan war and spoke of his goals for a world free of nuclear weapons taking on challenges such as disease, poverty and climate change.
