Don't get your little panties in a bunch now...it was important to spend a full year to pass Obamacare despite clear and undeniable majorities demanding it not be passed. And that financial reform was really important too. It was important to pass legislation for more government oversight. I mean it's not like government getting involved with Fannie and Freddie turned out bad, right?
As well I was all for takeovers at GM and Chrysler. I think it was direly needed for the unions to get .80 cents on the dollar and rank and file stockholders to get pennies on the dollar...we wouldn't want the unions to lose power, influence and their ability to hold business hostage.
The Stimulus of "quantitative easing" was urgent as well. It's always important to borrow money and raise yearly deficits to heretofore unheralded levels by any administration. I mean big deal if the Obama deficits are 4 times higher than that of Bush, that evil moron!
And if we don't get to printing more money through QE2 we all know the result of that...Keynesian economy all the way Baby! No matter that in terms of real growth its totally false to borrow money to basically improve cash flow. As they say in NYC, "Feget about it!" I mean everyone goes and takes their VISA card and gets a 10K cash advance so that their bank account looks nice what with a positive and impressive balance, right? Don't worry about the payments. No worries that with interest that 10k will cost ya 30K over time...details, details.
I think Obama has it right. It's good to defame the 70% of American's who agree with Tea Party principles as "Tea Baggers." Surely they must be stupid people, what with wanting to strictly interpret the Document, right? Golly, who in Hell actually is so dumb to believe a nation should be run as constituted? Haters! Bigots! Racists! The foulest of the foul for sure.
And don't be so silly as to be concerned about 9.8% unemployment - remember, if we pass the Stimulus unemployment will never go above 8%...Obama and his economists guaranteed us that, so we're good.
Obama has this...he's got a keen eye on the EU and if Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal or Ireland begins having problems, he's on it and will make the proper adjustments, right? So relax. After all, we're gonna vote on not having bake sales in schools in the national legislature, so clearly Obama has his priorities dead spot on! It's not like there are any more pressing national issues to busy oneself with, so putting Congress on legislating cupcakes is important!
In fact I am beginning to move to the position that since things are going so damned good we should make Obama president for life. Smartest man to ever live. New and different. Ya know, hopey change and all that!

Post a CommentAre you seriously saying Obama is spending an overt amount of time on this bake sale thing? Please. It's the congress and senate that bring this crap up and trying to act like it's a priority on Obama's list proves that you know NOTHING of how the government works.
Amen snide!
Sir, you nailed it on the ehad with this article.
Excellent job!
Thanks for bringing it all into perspective, Whippy. Now I'll sleep better...LOL
Obama has his head so far up his skinny hiney he can't hear his his own people shouting at him. Sorry for the crude metaphor, but that's about how it is with him.
Just what we need, eh? A fat surgeon general, and a fat first "lady" to tell us what our kids can buy in bake sales, to keep them from getting fat. LOL! Bahahahahahaaaaaaaa! Makes perfect sense to me. But I gotta ask, since this "bright" bill was championed by da furst ladeee...who elected her? It was wrong when other first ladies championed bills. It's wrong now. They're not elected officials.
Sigh. If this weren't so true, it would be funny!
Jimbo, did you hear about the latest money-printing-fiasco? Apparently the printing presses cannot handle the new fangled coding and the money is crinkled. End result - close to 1.1 billion of the new notes need to be examined to determine how much of the currency will have to be destroyed. How much money will that cost us?
