Obama Pushes Towards Socialism Whether We like it or Not

A February '09 Newsweek article entitled, "We Are All Socialist Now", came out soon after the U.S Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama as a prophetic warming for things to come for America. But, the march towards socialism didn't just start on that infamous day in February 2009, but many years back. It just has hit hyper-drive in the last twelve months. If one were to truly look around, the United States has been incrementally walked America towards socialism since as early as the Nineteen Twenties. For example, the abolishing of private property, a heavy progressive income tax, the abolishment of inheritance rights, the governmental centralization of credit, finance, communication, and transportation, and the establishment of free education, i.e., public, i.e., government education, are all part of U.S law, all come right out the Communist Manifesto. But, you may say that that's communism, not socialism. Truly, there is only scant, though relatively important, difference between the two. While communism takes virtually all control and ownership from the people, socialism allows the people to have some control and ownership over their lives and property. But, in both systems of government, it is the government who has ultimate power over the people and their property. It has the right and authority to grant and take privileges from its citizens. America was established different from both, allowing people to both control and have ownership over their lives and property. The Constitution for America recognizes that it is the Creator who grants man rights that are inalienable. But, in the United States, the one thing that has prevented the government from ruling its citizens from cradle to grave, like in socialist and communist countries, is government mandated medical coverage for all of it's citizens.

As much of the Establishment Media, with maybe Fox News, Mr. Glenn Beck in particular, as the acceptation, has narrowed the discussion over the 2300 something page Obamacare bill into a sound bite issue having to do with the supposed high cost of health insurance, the larger and more concerning issue of not just that the federal government will take over nearly 1/6th of the nation's economy and creating the greatest expansion of the federal government since the creation of the Department of Homeland Security under G.W after 911 by creating over 150 new government agencies, and amassing of taxes and regulations on every taxpayer and U.S business during a time they are financially struggling, but that it was rammed through exclusively by one party and against the wishes of the vast majority of U.S and American citizens. All of this during a time that issues of the degenerating financial status, living standards, and employment of the nation is front of mind for the people, not healthcare. In no other time in the republic's history has such an incredibly important piece of legislation, that will fundamentally alter the lives of nearly every citizen been pushed upon the people via one party of the Congress. This is not supposed to be Communist China, Russia, nor even England. This is supposed to be America, a federal republic. Thomas Jefferson defined a republican government best, "The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind." How is that? Because a true republican government is one that is meant to be governed openly and by and for the people, the individual. Not ruled behind closed doors and not for the benefit of the group.

I do find it interestingly amusing though since basically our inception America has out produced Europe's socialist block, beat the Soviet Communist block into submission, has, had, a health system that people from all over the world come to for treatment rather then stand in line, and has had a living standard that has been the envy of the world due to our ingrained cherishment of individual liberties and freedom to succeed to ones highest dreams, as well as crash to ones deepest nightmares, and rise to succeed again. Yet there is a loud minority who has been, and is, trying everything in their power to convince us that their way is better. And in every instance that Americans have had to do business with the government, such as the post office, public schools, or the D.M.V, you leave with a migraine due to the gross inefficiency and the incompetence of many of the people working there. We all have an immense aversion to having to deal directly with government departments. We know that the government is not efficient when it comes to public services and products. Many of us no longer even expect it to be. Yet, we force ourselves to believe that the government can do medical care better than the private sector that has a driven incentive to make a profit by producing a quality service and product. Talk about insanity. Someone may want to ask a Greek how well Greece is doing better than America as it teeters on economic collapse due to the crushing weight of a over grown government and the people finding it psychologically unconsciousable to live life without the big hand of government. Ask someone from California or New York how life is there with it's government offering i.o.u's for tax refunds because it has driven out the achievers, with high taxes, and welcomes and rewards those who chose to be non-achievers, vagrants, like illegal immigrants, with wealth redistribution policies. If you think that it can not happen to this nation as a whole, do not bet on if we continue on the this treacherous path. This is what Mr. Andy Stern, head of one of the largest service worker union in North America, and who has visit the White House more than any other person, and who was picked by Obama to sit on the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said, "Now, how do we distribute wealth in the country? ... And clearly government has a major opportunity to distribute wealth. Through tax policies, through minimum wages, through living wages, the government has a role in distributing wealth or social benefits like Medicare, Medicaid, certain health insurance." I can't wait to see what kind of free-market "reform" he will refer to Mr. Obama.

Since the inauguration of this sophomore Senator of Illinois, the federal government has directly taken over America's financial institutions and its largest automobile company, General Motors. And it seeks to take over the energy industry, through Cap and Trade legislation, and the Health Care Industry as well. Somewhere buried in the "Health Care" Law the government takes over student loan services and attaches Medicare taxes onto investments, such as dividends and capital gains, for the first time in our history. The United States already taxes capital gains more than any other industrialized nation. This is clearly the "change" that Mr. Obama had in his mind. This man is hell bent on ramming socialism between the cheeks of the American people whether we like it or not. With all of his promise after his election to do something really incredible good for America, rather than using it to fix the economy by simplifying the tax system by lowing the burden on both the American people and businesses to make America more enticing for international investments and businesses to locate, thereby increasing jobs for the people and revenue for the government so that we the people can afford to buy our own health insurance and homes, working to truly secure the solvency of entitlements, such as Social Security, or unleashing the dormant and under-utilized economic forces that lies in America in natural and human resources, he has spent his first 1 plus years to focus on increasing the tax burden on the U.S citizen and America's posterity by amassing approximately $2 Trillion Dollars in debt - that's excluding the Trillions in cost, probably more, in the "Healthcare" law and other unforeseen spending needs . In contrast, in took G.W 4 years to spend $4.9 Trillion.

Mr. Obama has told us all of his socialistic lean, even if we couldn't hear over all of the ooooohhh and aaahhhhhhs due to his silver tongue and good looks. With regards to the Warren Supreme Court, Obama said, "itnever ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the Federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf..." during a radio interview in 2001; days before the his presidential election he stated, "We are five days away fromfundamentally transforming America"; and lets not for the infamous one with "Joe the Plummer", I think when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody." [emphasis added]

I don't think that there is any more evidence that Mr. Obama's placement in the seat of the U.S presidency is strictly to finally transition America into a socialist nation, dismantle the U.S international supremacy, both militarily and economically, and bring America's living standards to the level of Mexico, simply due to his overt drive to do everything but build America up, whether it be at home or abroad. I'm not going to speak to the fact that for a man to be elected to the highest seat of power in the world, very little is truly known about his past, philosophy, or his character. But, just by the seeds that he has produced thus far, it is quite disturbing and alarming for the prosperity of this republic and our posterity. The U.S government is over $70 Trillion Dollars in debt (including entitlements and off the book expenses) and has to spend nearly 7% of its revenue just to finance it. Communist China is holding $798 billion and the privately owned Federal Reserve is holding an astonishing $5.127 Trillion in government debt alone. And that's the burden on the U.S taxpayer before the Obamacare, the expiring Bush tax cuts at the end of this year, or any other spending. There is no evidence that this Administration has any intent to truthfully handle the U.S catastrophic economic situation, but make it worst.

The full effects of the new law will be like Chinese Water Torture. It will come out slowly, not hit at once, first with the tax increases, then full implementation about 2014, then the full impact on the government's debt will explode aprox. in 2020. The government is expected to run a Trillion Dollars in the red for the foreseeable future. That ensures that future generations will bare the burden of drastically lower living standards and higher taxes. Jefferson prophetically warned us of this moment regarding debt and the destruction of the republic due to lost of the love of freedom, "And to preserve their [our next generations] independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude." and "Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path of destruction." [emphasis added]

Americans have reached the fork in the road of freedom and liberty, and serfdom and dependence. Socialism is a detached lover to freedom and liberty. While giving the appearance of a involved relationship, it gives no warmth when it comes to the frigid chill of governmental oppression or tyranny. Socialism dissuades one from stretching for the moon, for he knows that he can get there by someone else's efforts. It discourages one from directly asking his neighbor to borrow some sugar, for he knows that the government will knock down their door, take the sugar and mixer, and deliver it to him. It dissolves the need and desire to think independently and challenge the unquestioned or unknown, because it maybe unpopular or uncomfortable to the collective. To put it in today's verbiage, why should one make the effort to invest wisely, in time and activity, for his retirement and health, if the government, via income redistribution, will do it for him? Why should one seek to make good choices, such as whether or not to have a child or get a job to support one's self, if the government will take the responsibility in cost and care? Too many people seem unaware that the government has no money tree in it's back yard for the services that it offers. If the government gives you a dollar, it has taken it from your pockets and charges you interest. When people chose to relieve themselves of self -responsibility it makes one vulnerable to someone, or something, else [government], stepping in to assume that responsibility. This may be the very reason that the Founders, under the perpetual Articles of Confederation, attempted to ensure that only the most responsible citizen were rewarded with rights and privileges, it extended rights to all but paupers, vagabonds, and fugitives, "Article IV. The better to secure and perpetuate mutual friendship and intercourse among the people of the different States in this Union, the free inhabitants of each of these States, paupers, vagabonds, and fugitives from justice excepted, shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of free citizens in the several States..." [emphasis added] To ensure that no one without a vested interest in the betterment of the community or society could politically determine it's future - no moochers or wards of the state could vote. In today's politically correct/nanny state this mentality would be call discriminating, unjust, hateful.

All nations of the world have been, or are being, ruled by a king, a single party government, of some form of "socialistic democracy", but America. Other nations were established to be ruled from the top down to the people so they find little discomfort in accepting socialism, or communism, as a form of government. But, this is not in America's D.N.A. If it were, there would not be any need to impose socialistic values and principles in such covert and deceitful ways over all of these years? Obama's attempt at fundamentally changing this republic will not be easy-not even with all of the years of dumb-down government education where too many young people can quicker identify Paula Abdul than their State Representative or George Washington and have no real concept of freedom. Americans will push back the tide of socialism. Just as in the aftermath of Truman's, F.D.R's, and Johnson's socialist expansions, the people rose and elected a government that resend many of the programs, except the Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid enactment. Remember the words of John Adams, Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.

Americans have always been people with "I got this", independent, aggressive, and rouged attitude. We are Americans. There isn't another place were we can be Americans. And there won't be another like this. Parents used to ingrain in their children to be prideful of ownership, to take pride of ownership of one's family, property, behavior, and country. But, the youth of today are being taught of entitlement of another's property, labor, and liberties. That is the why today we have to deal with the scorn of such character deficient men as presidents. But, it is up to the American people, to decide what kind of America we want to leave for our children and their children - whether it is one that trumpets personal freedom, independence, and liberty or one that rewards dependence, moochers, and servitude. But, it must be about more than just what party or affiliation one may be apart of, but what level of character and that he has the soil of America caked between his toes, woven in the words that he speaks, and Creator-endowed principles branded upon his heart. The path that we chose today should not be looked up as to what we may benefit today, but to the benefit of those who will come after us tomorrow.

This is the Oath of Office every Congressman makes.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Note that the oath saids nothing about the voters will. The highest duty of Congress and the President is not to follow the voters will. It is to follow the oath of office!

TARP was part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. It was supported by Bush, McCain, Obama and Clinton.

The amount of power and debt the government has is truly scary.

I beg your pardon, the Constitution says nothing about a Creator granting man rights that are inalienable.
