Obama Shobama

James R. Ford
Obama is doing big in the polls. Hillary wins a blue state. What gives?
The current crop of Presidential hopefuls are campaigning and building up their war chests.
Where are they campaigning?
Iowa. Iowa?
Land of corn and hog farming. Not many electoral votes here.
Nevada. Such a gamble. Huge desert state with casinos. Not many electoral votes here either.
What's next, Wyoming? Hawaii?

The major candidates should be in the major states right now.
Point is, I really don't know much about Obama. Yeah, Oprah likes him cause he's black and his name rhymes with hers.
But what does he stand for?
To find out, I really have to search.
Why doesn't he make his point clear to all. Come to the Northeast. (I don't mean sparsely populated New Hampshire, either.) Spend some time with the working people of the hardcore populous states. That is where he will find all his votes.

And Hillary. We all know where she stands. To the far left of the great William J.

I like Obama. I hope he wins. This article was meant as a (humorous?) look at American popular culture. Thanks to all that have enjoyed it.

I would guess it is a waste of time for any of them to campaign in Florida; election fraud and all of that; Bush backs Hillary, so perhaps it is pre-ordained that she will win Florida. Interesting is that the first primary election is in the Nation's capitol. Whoever wins in Iowa, I am told, will decide who people in other states vote for~if it looks like one is favored, on the Dem side; the Rep's think to vote for the person they think might best beat that person in the general election.

How does Obama's name rhyme with Winfrey's. If you want to know anything about any candidates you simply do a search for either their Senate website (where you can spend hours researching exactly how they voted on everything or just check out their stances on issues); go to You Tube, You Choose. It has been a while since I wrote about it, but I will say "19" hopefuls have channels there. You can listen to what anyone of them has to say on any subject you can think of at 2AM if you like.

I do understand the primary system. Probably a whole lot more than you think I should. The problem, is how it is set-up and the current problem with the whole two party sytem and all of its flaws.
I always write with a sarcatic, cynical view when it comes to politics especially because of the appointment of the current president by the Supremeless Court in 2000 and his subsequent 'win' in 04.

Maybe you should do some research on the primary system. Then you'll understand why the candidates are where they are. And it's not just the Democrats, you know.

Jody, I agree one hundred percent. I really like Edwards but I don't think he is being given a chance because of the 'female' and 'race' cards.

Good point. You really need to do your research if you want to know anything about the candidates. I would like to see John Edwards win, but everyone's stuck on the idea of having a woman or a black president, so I don't think that will happen.
