Obama Stalled on Making a Decision on Afghanistan

C. L. Collins
At a recent White House meeting, Obama rejected all four war options that were considered for use in Afghanistan. Then he asks that all of the best pieces within those plans be put together into one, like altering troop deployments and their time spent in the war zone.

It has been alleged that Obama is making sure he can do this and do this right. After all, he did promise to have the troop's home by January 21, 2009 - how has that worked out for anyone?

While Obama is running around the world and apologizing for America, he's given us our first in over 20 years, Jimmy Carter's first moment - he is not giving his military Commanders what they need.

The war is going badly in terms of Obama standing as if this is a stalemate - thanks to his indifference and not wanting to hear about a "surge" - or hating to hear one of his Generals speak in terms of how military commanders speak, such as General McCrystal.

Nice way to run a war that even after 10 months of his speak of change - we now see the real change - Obama cannot make a decision outside of being a community organizer and even at that, the results are questionable. But then organizing a community to do something is easier than making a decision on national security or foreign policy when others make those decisions for you - you just act like you lead. Ever see the district Obama was in charge of as Senator in Illinois? But of course, it wasn't Obama's fault, its George Bush's fault.

During Obama's campaign, he made sure people understood that Iraq was a war of choice and the war in Afghanistan was out of necessity. This was a bow to the treasonous liberals and pressure from pacifist liberals will continue to be recognized that liberals cannot be trust with anything in relation to government, better yet, making decisions concerning war.

In a new poll, disapproval of the way Obama is handing this Afghanistan war has increased among Americans - reality and facts only get in the way of liberal ideology, but they still keep trying to pretend to know what is going on.

Socialistic policies have always failed throughout world history but don't tell Obama that - liberals live in a quasi bubble and are too busy patting themselves on the back and smile at each other to mimic of just how smart they are based on "feelings" and artificial moral superiority.

In a twist of deflection from his inability to make any decision, President Barack Obama sent a message to NATO to state that the Afghanistan problem is the most important mission for "them". Once you cannot make a decision, be sure to call on others to do it for you - a feel good strategy that liberals entice once they find themselves in a bind.

Obama continues to derail his own decision making by telling troops at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska that he will not send any troops into harm's way without the support they need, including the support from the American public - as if that one statement would increase his approval numbers on any problem.

Nonetheless, the blithering remark from Obama's Press Secretary Gibbs gets the crux of the issue. "It's important to fully examine not just how we're going to get folks in but how we're going to get folks out," Gibbs said. Well okay, how about listening to the Generals in the field and give them what they want.

By and large since his first day on the job, Obama will not make any decision no matter how simple it is without calculating the impact in the political arena or the fallout of such decisions. The problem Obama has in regards to Afghanistan is the nation is in the middle of contentious battle over health care reform - one can assume that multi-tasking isn't one of his talents - although flying around the world to apologize for everything America has done to terrorists; a talent that cannot be ignored; even the camels in the Middle East desert have taken notice.

Amazingly enough, these were the same liberals who were gun-ho for the war and are now backtracking their support - John Kerry's infamous comment I voted for the $86 billion dollars and then voted against it stupor has finally met its match - but we are still living the success of those operations and yet, the Obama administration can't figure out how Bush did it.

It is unfortunate that we once again have a Democrat for President. We are in a war against terrorists in which the enemy will not surrender but can be put down for years to come and yet, Obama cannot make a decision after ten months.

Democrats will never "get it" and learn but hopefully the voters will. I am not counting on it but then one can be wrong once in a while.

And people criticized Bush for not making a decision about what to do on 9/11 for 40 minutes. The big "O" is too busy looking at the Japanese emperor's shoes.
