Obama State of the Union Address and the Quick Fix
How that January 2010 Economic Facts Speak Harsh Words Despite Wishful Thinking
I am being very general with my calculations in order to present not exact figures but instead figures that the common person can understand without any real trouble, and this is important because most people frankly cannot even comprehend what is being spoken about in regard to the national debt and how much of an issue this is. Having said that usually a creditor on a home lone or other such long term credit situation will want to get two or three times the amount loaned back through the total payments added together, and as a result of this general principle of finance credit cards for example that are paid in full in about seven years would have interest rates from 9% to 16% easily while home loans over twenty years would have much lower interest rates that would allow a bank to get back two or three times their investment in total payments paid by the borrower. If we apply this general principle to the national debt, then we find that each working class person over their lifetime may be expected to pay back $168,000 to $252,000 in addition to every other tax that people that live in the United States already pay, and this assumes that the president will be completely unable to borrow anymore money to make the national debt any bigger after today (this is wishful thinking for those that will pay future taxes).
We know however that most likely the national debt will become much larger by far as a result of today's presidential address because the president was actually talking about borrowing far more money than I can even comprehend. Just ask yourself this question, "if I had $168,000 to $252,000, then would I rather buy a nice home for my family or pay for wars that I do not believe in, pay for education that I do not believe in, and pay for lots of other stuff that I find to be morally apprehensible instead of paying for a home for my family?" What is even worse is that with Obama's urging of Americans to support legendary future spending of over $30 billion in addition to future tax credits such as those given to small business we find that not only will people of the future be loosing a quarter of a million dollar future home through future taxes but also this could be a much bigger sum of future money needed to be paid by each working person as a result of today's presidential address. What I am talking about is the fact that many people that live in the United States are perhaps on the brink of a new kind of slavery despite the diversity in the White House, and this slavery is not a wage slavery but a tax slavery that may be realized in coming years.
Today I am a Christian, but when I attended public education as a youth I became an atheist during that time even though I attended Church every Sunday with only missing just a few services. The reason why this happened is because I had a atheist instructor in first grade that taught me about science and atheism that was paid for by government funds through paying for the teacher's regular wages while people in my church did not get such funds and as a result could not dedicate themselves to making an equally compelling case for creationism and Christ. You can say that the government is not at all to blame because a person can get money back at the end of the year for taxes if they contribute to their local church, and I completely understand this point while nevertheless having to point out that things still are the way they are despite this fact. In other words evolution that really works well with atheism and agnostic views because of creation through randomness rivaling intelligent design gets rewarded through tax money for science instructors while creationist philosophy is made to look ridiculous because creationist thinkers do not have the resources of tax money to make the same kind of compelling case to the public that evolutionists get, and although things have gotten better with the previous administration the government in a way is choosing to pay for one set of ideological values while leaving the others out in the cold so to speak.
When I was a child in the early eighties, my father was unemployed most of the time and I remember a similar financial crises of our economy as what Obama addressed today in terms of people being strapped for cash. Despite the economy of the eighties, many people paid their taxes, and those taxes paid for lots of people to have jobs that did not include my father. During many years in the eighties and early nineties, I would get beaten to the ground time and time again semi-daily by a small mob of about six to eight school children that relocated to my aria from Chicago perhaps because of their parents trying to obtain employment with heavy industry in my aria that was dangerous and resulted in occasional work related death. Despite the fact that the small mob of kids did their thing to even elderly people walking down the street, police that had been paid by taxes would not want to get involved in the issue because the testimony of a whole group of kids against one cop (my city did not have a very big police force) would not be good for the police officer in quart in case something happened to him or in case he allegedly did something inappropriate. The point that I am making is that despite my best efforts and those of my parents I had to suffer everyday after school while being kicked in the groin for hours while the rest of the community paid for the taxes for the police force and while my father would greatly suffer as an unemployed carpenter for most of the time.
I really think that President Obama means very well, and that most government officials mean for very good things to happen as well. Let me however explain the hard reality of the long term future of our nation. I think that this future will involve lots of government regulation that is so bureaucratic that getting justice done will be like the police office I dealt with as a child, and people that are very jobless and poor will in the end have to pay for this system even through it possesses starkly contrasting moral values like in the case of the atheist instructor educating me to be an atheist.
My great grandfather, that I knew as a child, lived in the same house for something like half a century or more with the exact same objects that never moved from their location, and my grandfather lived just a few miles away in the exact same location ever since his marriage in youth and his house was the same way as my great grandfather's house in that nothing really changed. In fact my grandmother worked at the same nursing home from her youth until she retired that was just a block away, and my aunt worked at that nursing home from her teenage youth working as a dishwasher and still works their about four decades latter today (she has never had any other job). Overall, my father has worked in the construction industry now since he was seven when his uncle taught him the trade, and my point in all of this is that my family vales are not the same values as many have today because today's values involve constant change in a unpredictable and bad way as I see it.
The point is that our government and our nation is most likely not evolving but instead de-evolving. Competition and the survival of the fittest has sought to find patters of predictability, maximize profit with those patterns, and minimize expense while profiting from those patterns. The problem is that once patters become predictable, then people can have mastery of them in ways that profit. When these patterns involve predictable intelligent design created by one person and mastered by another, then this gives someone else the ability to master others through mastery over their work and lifestyle. Overall, marketing for example utilizes this idea to get people to buy things that they would not normally buy through taking advantage of understanding the predictability of people and by stimulating impulses that defy rational thought and war against long term plans made by intelligent design, and many private sector employers manage people through mastering their workers through identifying the predictability of the lifestyles of their workers.
The point that I am making is that through media promoting easy sexual relations through promiscuity, commercials promoting products through comedy, schools promoting education through the American dream, and other such false visions that end in destruction people are thus driven by impulses that are often controlled by the rich in order to satisfy paychecks of the wealthy at the expense of those that fall victim to manipulation. The nation thus is being aggressively transformed by people that study the predictability of others and then invest as little as possible to provide the maximum gain from capitalizing on the predictability of people. What I am talking about can only result in a slave society of people that are highly regulated while living in a constantly changing environment that does not have any order to it.
Today for example more and more youth are constantly changing jobs, constantly changing significant others, constantly changing cars, and sometimes constantly changing ideology. The more that people are constantly changing the more that government relations step in so that order can be maintained in the chaos. This happens because the chaos often becomes so bad that the more people change often the more that their morality is compromised by those that uphold the system that remains steady (government).
The fact is that the more that people have to pay taxes as a result of the national debt the more that buyers and sells will find their reasons for buying and selling to be fleeting, and this results in greater joblessness, greater pressures to compromise morality to make ends meat, and greater reasons for doing whatever is possible in business in order to make money. When people resort to only looking at financial gains in order to justify their actions, then no longer do people have freedom if they would rather be poor and moral but instead are trapped into living immorally in order to survive. Overall, the long term future of our nation may not be able to provide the freedom that people long for.
The reason why our nation is having the financial problems and employment problems of today is because for many decades through a constantly changing environment as a result of the problem that I am talking about many people found themselves working and struggling for survival while others used people's impulses against them in order to profit without doing any real work (like in marketing). Our economy became only concerned about the short run, and soon enough almost everyone profited on selling a quick fix. Our economy thus de-evolved along with our government.
Presidents of former elections found quick fixes to problems of government that they could sell people who would buy them for short term office, and no quick fix artist is usually concerned about the long run. The many quick fixes of government politicians added together equals a huge national debt, a ruined economy, a people without stable living, and a bureaucratic government that has little to no human intelligent design unifying the rules that are created. I find myself very much in favor of the investment in changing the long term future of our nation that President Obama focuses upon, but despite the best efforts of even the best people reversing the damage already done to our nation may be nearly impossible by human efforts at best. Overall, despite the many good things that our nation is known for, it might only get increasingly worse for the rest of its history despite any genuine efforts to turn things around.

Post a CommentAnd who got the national debt to where it is? Bush and his illegal 'war' in Iraq. I just don't get Americans. Obama has been President just one year. With enormous problems caused by 8 years of idiot Bush, there's no way he can fix them this quickly. But....Americans from the land of the 'quick fix' (look how fat most Americans are because they quit diets after a week because they're 'not working')....think Obama should have fixed things by now. How stupid can people be???
