Obama Uses Calderon to Further His Idealism
Democrats Concealing the Truth Behind Arizona's Immigration Bill
While President Obama continually ignores the best interests of America, it's citizens are not. Seventeen states are now filing similar versions of Arizona's Immigration Bill.
Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.
The government and associated organizations have failed miserably in honoring their constitutional responsibility to enforce federal immigration laws.
I found it very disturbing that President Obama used President Calderon's trip here to further his personal liberal agenda's to target yet another opportunity to apply more big government to our lives. Rather than actually enforcing federal law, Obama wants to have his own version of what immigration laws should be.
We don't need new immigration laws. What we need is for the government to enforce the federal laws we already have.
Calderon stated that he strongly disagrees with Arizona's S.B. 1070 Immigration Bill. "It is a law that not only ignores a reality that cannot be erased by decree but also introduces a terrible idea using racial profiling as a basis for law enforcement."
This is yet another example of someone who has not even read S.B. 1070.
Nowhere in that bill does it say; that if you are Mexican or any other race for that matter, that law enforcement is require to profile you as a subject to question about immigration status.
It actually says quite the opposite. It specifically states in the bill that officials and agencies are required to "fully" comply with federal immigration laws. This bill requires a reasonable attempt to determine immigration status of a "person" during any "legitimate" contact.
Wonder who put those words in his mouth?
Mexico annually deports more illegal aliens than America does. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal immigrant. It is punishable by a prison sentence and we all know what the state of prisons in Mexico are like. They are not the resorts we call prisons here. Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.
The citizens of this nation could care less about what Calderon has to say about our immigration laws, especially since his countries immigration laws are far more strict than ours.
Senator John McCain (R AZ) later issued this statement : "It was unfortunate and disappointing the President of Mexico chose to criticize the state of Arizona by weighing in on a U.S. domestic policy issue during a trip that was meant to reaffirm the unique relationship between our two countries."
Democrats continue to conceal the truth behind Arizona's Immigration Bill in an effort to apply more big government in our lives. It is not only obvious to those outside of this heated debate, but also to those on the opposite side of Obama's idealism.
If you are not with him, I guess in his opinion, you are against him. If being loyal to America is against him, then I guess you'll have to add me to that list. Never will I betray the best interests of my country just to further political idealism.
