Obama Vs. McCain: Who Can Really Bring Change?
Barack Obama is a blossoming politician and is still a Washington Outsider. His whole campaign is based on hope and change. He wants to help the average Americans and end the war in Iraq. He also wants to really be a man of the people. He doesn't want to be like other career politicians. Will this actually work though? Politicians promise us things all the time and never deliver. Barack has been talking about it, but can he actually do it? Well, the answer is complicated. Barack can certainly bring about change just for simply being different. If he becomes the first black president of the United States, there will certainly be changes. It is unclear whether or not these changes will actually happen though.
Senator McCain couldn't be any more different. His whole campaign is based on experience, and crossing party lines. He claims they he shows he can make changes because of his historic compromises during his years as a senator. Although this may be true, how much change can Mr. McCain actually bring about?
When analyzing whether or not these two men can actually bring about change, you have to determine what kind of change you actually want. You have two gentlemen on two different sides of the spectrum. You have a social conservative and a social liberal. There platforms are completely different. Both of these men will have the potential to change the world if they get in office, but who is to say this will be a positive change.
I'm all for any candidate with groundbreaking fresh ideas, and honestly, Barack is the only one on both sides who can actually do this. Things need to change and that is not going to happen by electing someone who is so deeply rooted in Washington. Barack can bring a different perspective to Washington. He can change things.

Post a CommentWhat type of change are we speaking of? Destroying the American military and raising taxes is change? Forget the moronic Obama...MCCAIN is the better man.
Republicans stormed out of Congress when they were denied the right to continue spying on citizens. (FISA). Romney said in his exit speech he wanted to solidify Republicans because he did not want "Obama and Clinton to take the White House". Huh? The White House belongs to the citizens. Besides it seems that Romney over-reacted to press speculation of a "dream ticket" which would actually be a nightmare ticket for Democrats. Independents like me will not vote for Clinton corruption, ya see. McCain is more of the same; Obama is turning the page and moving back to bipartisan government where party concerns were put aside after election day. That is why older Congress people like him~from either Party.
McCain is yesterday's politics. He thinks it does not matter to citizens if we stay in Iraq for 100 years. He also wants to bomb Iran. It has been whispered for quite a while now that we are low on troops. Into Iran, most likely means: Hello Draft! Do you really foresee college students wanting to be shipped overseas to kill or be killed? Senator Obama wrote a counter resolution to slow down the rush into Iran. I have not checked it's progress lately. Senator Clinton was one those who voted yes on the Iran Resolution. My state senators are oppossed to invading Iran and want our troops out of Iraq. I think they will back Obama, not McCain when it comes to working together.
