Obama Wins Nobel Prize...I'm Not Kidding

And it isn't a joke.

The Nobel Prizecommittee this morning awarded the Nobel Prize to a man...that has accomplished NOTHING.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it honored Obama for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

This is the most political nonsense from the Nobel committee since Mahatma Gandhi was DENIED the prize because they didn't want to offend the British. That a man like Gandhi, who epitomized the Nobel Peace Prize, was rejected, and a man who had done nothing receives it for simple talk...it is simply embarrassing.

I will give you a list of people that have done much more for peace than Barack Obama. Basically, any person that has ever run a charity. Bill Gates, who has given billions to his foundation. How about Bill Clinton, who I don't respect personally, but has traversed the world for money and policies since he left the White House in the name of the Clinton Foundation? Seriously, he is much more deserving. Heck, even George W. Bush is more deserving. His efforts in Africa, according to the WHO, has saved millions. Heck, the least deserving Nobel winners in the last decade were Jimmy Carter and Al Gore...and they were both more deserving than Obama.

Erick Erickson of RedState said it best: Obama is becoming Jimmy Carter faster than Carter became Carter.

Lets see...Obama has TALKED about pulling troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan; I would love for him next week to double the troop presence in Afghanistan to celebrate winning the peace prize. He has TALKED about closing Gitmo, which he won't do on time. He actually has made the Isreali-Palestinian conflict worse, as both sides are not even talking anymore. And one last point: the deadline for nominations? 2 weeks before Obama was inaugurated. Thus, he won the Nobel Prize for actions he performed BEFORE he became President.

But I guess Obama's talk is more valuable than that. This is the biggest joke ever.
