Obamacare Countermands the Democratic Right of a Citizen to Say No Without Penalization

Obama has just given Republicans a victory in the 2012 elections.

Obama cannot penalize people who are unemployed.

Obama should first create jobs for unemployed citizens.

Then only penalize them if they don't opt for insurance.

A person need not pay taxes or levies on something he or she cannot afford. This kind of chicanery is not practiced in the most despotic of nations.

A government that taxes unemployed people is unheard of in history.

IRS is an organization meant to collect taxes on money earned. Not for collecting taxes on money NOT earned. Dragging IRS into a dirty job was unnecessary.

So,

either Obama gives jobs to the unemployed

Or

his government gives full subsidies to unemployed.

Since both options are unworkable, Obama has given the nation a better option:

"He has handed the 2012 Presidential Election in a platter to the Republicans."

Health is not car or property or income or wealth to be taxed like that. By his own standards, now, by extension I can be taxed if I don't buy cars, luxuries which I cannot afford.

The argument that something is better than nothing need not cost hapless citizens $750 each.

If the government cannot afford or implement public option, then people should have been left alone, rather than squeezing them to pay money they don't have.

Those people who already are eating food and living on borrowed money are being asked by their government to find another $750 dollars by hook or crook.

While I am not against providing health care to illegal immigrants on emergency basis, that true citizens will be penalized shows the duplicity of intentions.

If he couldn't muster enough votes, he should not have proceeded further because now he has lost his own foundational platform that gave him the unprecedented victory in 2008.

Now, his own voters should be ruing the day they decided to vote for him.

No wonder his own supporters are thronging to buy Sarah Palin's book, as he has failed them!!!

Ridiculous that this kind of coercion is being legislated in world's foremost democracy, that too under a President who promised change from all anti-people actions of the past.

Truth is, it is the same old cliche: from the frying pan into the fire, no health care as before plus a loss of $750!

Democratic party in its thoughtless hurry to outmaneuver the Republicans has dismissed the votes they gained as trash.

They should have concentrated their efforts on the jobs arena and once that improved should have brought this bill.

They have scuttled their own flagship , the much-touted health care reform.

And to think Obama was breathing Lincoln, Gandhi, King and Kennedy every second all these days!

All that valuable inspirations from Lincoln, Gandhi, King and Kennedy went down the drain in the most unceremonious way. Like the valuable votes that have been trashed.
