OBAMACARE: Healthcare Reform or Another Entitlement Program?

And it continues. President Obama and the liberal Democrats are once again trying to take over yet another program in their efforts to turn the U.S. into a "nanny-state." We have seen his success so far with the taking over of the banking and auto industry. Obama is batting 0 for 2.

The simple fact is, Obamacare proposal is just another liberal wish list for expansion of the role of government into health care. There is no doubt about it. The sad fact is that President Obama is a liar about his intentions.

I knew from the jump that Obama and the liberals were lying. Their main goal is to "distribute the wealth" in the attempt to make it all fair. The man admitted this on live television during the question posed by "Joe the Plumber." Yet, 53% of the population voted for a man who had nothing but the gift of smooth talk.

President Obama was in Green Bay, Wisconsin, promoting another lie of his. He claimed he didn't want to force everyone onto the single payer health care plan. THAT WAS A BOLD FACE LIE!

In 2003, then Senator Barack Obama said "I happen to be a proponent of a single payer, universal health care plan." That is now President Obama's voice you hear on the video link above. Do people really not understand what this man is trying to do to our country?

Listen to the liberals on that video. Its not like they are hiding their goal. The liberal goal is to require all Americans to have insurance. One of the options they are trying to put into Obamacare is a "public option" plan. Once this option is passed, the government will drive the private option out of business.

"I also strongly believe that one of the options ... should be a public insurance option," Obama stated. "And the reason is not because we want a government takeover of health care... I've already said if you've got a private plan that works for you, that's great." Thank you Obama the Great for allowing us poor minions the gift of keeping something we already pay for. You are so kind.

Obama continued his lie-ridden speech by saying that competition and choices about which kind of insurance consumers have access to is a key reason to include a public option. Obama stated "We want some competition. If the private insurance companies have to compete with a public option, it'll keep them honest and it'll help keep their prices down."

I always thought the role of our government was to set rules for private competition, which keeps prices low. Thats the way it was until Obama was elected President. Now Obama wants the government to be one of the competitors on the double speak of wanting fair and honest price reduction.

Obama and the liberals know that small, private insurance companies cannot compete with a government backed insurance option. It would force them out of business and grow the number of individuals dependent upon the government once again. It is a total liberal scam America.

The so-called "public plan" is a way for the liberals to push everyone into a single payer health care plan and it is their goal to move American's health care in a European or Canadian direction. That is a bit odd considering that those folks who live in Canada and Europe have nothing great to say about their health care system.

I've heard the stories of long lines and having to wait weeks, and sometimes months, for basic treatments like MRI's and CAT scans. We have examples of government controlled businesses here in the U.S. Check out our V.A. Hospitals, the DMV or the Post Office. All are under government control and all are in debt. Not to mention what great services they offer. Yeah, that is sarcasm!

What is this Obamacare going to cost the hardworking U.S. taxpayer? Charlie Rangel (D-NY) the Ways and Means Committee Chairman said "Health-care overhaul legislation being drafted by House Democrats will include $600 billion in tax increases and $400 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid." So the rough government estimate is $1 trillion dollars.

Didn't then Senator Obama make the claim that "Senator McCain would pay for part of his plan by making drastic cuts in Medicare - $882 billion worth, $882 billion in Medicare cuts to pay for an ill-conceived health care plan, even as Medicare already faces a looming shortfall?" That's our FLIP-FLOPPER IN CHIEF, for you. Told you he was a master of double-speak.

Medicare and Medicaid are both ran by our government. Both are poorly governed and cost the taxpayers billions each year. How do you think Obamacare is going to be handled? Exactly!

Hopefully, the average American can see through this smokescreen of lies. The only thing Obamacare creates is a huge new entitlement program with no plans on paying for it. Do you want rationing of your healthcare? Do you want the government sticking their nose into a health care system that is the best in the world? Do you want more of your taxes to go into a system that you know will not work or benefit you and your family in anyway?

Obama is going to raise taxes to pay for all HIS spending. There is no way he can keep blaming Bush for the spending he has authorized. Its time to take responsibility and to tell the truth Mr. President.

How do you feel about paying for individuals who do not have health insurance? That's what Obama and the liberals want. They already have quadrupled the national debt to 1.8 trillion dollars to bail out those that have been irresponsible. They want us to be a nanny-state.

How do you feel about paying for the health care of illegal immigrants? It is reported that 1/3 of the so-called 45 million uninsured individuals are illegal immigrants. Once again, Obama wants to protect his base. He wants to take your money and redistribute it to those irresponsible individuals.

Obama is a master of double-speak. Just pay attention to any of his speeches. I have figured him out. I just hope the people who fall for Obama's BS wake up soon.

Obama and his health care adventures are going to cost our society for decades to come, if passed. Hopefully those on both sides who have issues with government controlled health care will speak up. They need to stand up and represent the majority of Americans.

It is nice to be charitable, but it is not up to government to force you to be such. If I wanted to pay for other's health care, I would do so. But when liberals like Obama stick their hands into my pockets by force, that is theft. Or as President double-talk claims it is spreading the wealth.
