Obama's Secretary of Homeland Insecurity

Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano?

Betsy Ross
Even though Election 2008 is now over, the electioneering isn't over. Obama's transition team is now busy working on his new Cabinet, and there has been both local and national buzz that Arizona's Governor Janet Napolitano just may be the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Insecurity, you know that inefficient and unnecessary new department of the executive office Bush created in order to divert attention from the true cause for the attacks of 9/11, an internal screw up between the FBI offices in Phoenix, and the Department of Defense who failed to act on the information Phoenix FBI had on two of the pilots who were training at Scottsdale Airpark, or so states the 9/11 report. Instead of addressing the communications failures and internally tightening up the chain of command within the Defense Department itself, Bush creates a third department making not only the bureaucracy much larger and more expensive tax wise for the American people, but with now two departments which must share information and coordinate with each other. The small government Republicans have enlarged the federal government to a size that the framers and founders would not believe was possible under the carefully crafted provisions of our U.S. Constitution. However, we all know how well this Administration has adhered to that document, especially our outgoing Commander in Chief.

Since Arizona's crime rates have ballooned during the last almost six years of Governor Napolitano's leadership to a point now where it has the highest identity theft and automobile theft rate in the nation (due to the border hoppers, and those that now must steal identities in order to vote, or use the ATM machines), and is one of the main gateways for the hard and addictive drug trafficking that enter through our southern borders, and more recently drug cartel related kidnappings, it would appear Mr. Obama just might want to evaluate Ms. Napolitano's resume and track record a little more closely. Just because she is a Governor of a border state does not make her an expert in border security, in fact, she has prevented effective action in securing the sums necessary in order to at least finish the border fencing which would definitely have a positive impact on stopping the flow, unless you want to expand government to the point that we have over 3,000 border patrol agents linked arm and arm in order to do so. Most of the drug traffickers and thieves do not enter through the usual ports of entry, due to the agendas with which they are entering the country. In order to steal, rape, murder or engage in drug trafficking in front of the local high schools, or spread their many times tainted wares further north.

In the event this truly comes to pass, I predict there will be a massive migration of Arizonans north before they truly do lose not only their homes, but everything they have. Many of those mortgage foreclosures going on there are because of the property thefts, higher insurance rates, and automobile theft that are the result of the open borders negligence. Not to mention that the local police departments are overstretched now arresting the social drinking crowd for budgetary reasons that property thefts and violent crimes are way down on the list. While Ms. Napolitano is vitally concerned with children's issues, with MADD and the insurers some of her most lucrative supporters, more teens and children have been either marketed to by the drug cartels, or killed than MADD and the National Traffic Safety Council's fraudulent statistics.

Due to the number of times Governor Napolitano has traveled to Mexico on the Arizona taxpayer's dime meeting with the Arizona/Sonoran Commission and other Mexican governmental officials, not at all included within her job description as a state rather than federal official, after over six years in office it would appear that she is eligible to apply for joint U.S./Mexican citizenship. As of late she has been out of Arizona on her foreign junctures for her job resume to Mexico than actually performing her job and at her desk during legislative sessions.

With the new visa waiver program initiated by Mr. Chertoff and the Bush Administration as one of their final acts in office allowing "free pass" visas to citizens from over 40 countries, not only have our borders been thrown open, that agency spent millions for "welcome videos," while indicating that the border fencing and security would have to be addressed by the next administration.

And I guess, if the buzz is legitimate, that would be within Ms. Napolitano's purview in the Obama administration.

I wonder who is now sewing the new red, white and green flag for the North American Union?

Love those Mexicans.....within the past four years of my residency in Arizona, had two attempted auto thefts, and an identity theft. This is not about race at all, it is about nationalism....whether you are pro-American or pro-globalism at the safety and security of America and your fellow countrymen, to my way of thinking. And Napolitano would sell out her own mother for a few votes, and sold out the Arizonans time and time again...

The Mexican Drug Czar was just arrested a few days ago for accepting a 450,000 bribe from one of the drug cartels. The Drug Czar was working with U.S. DEA agents to interdict the flow of drugs from Mexico but he was tipping them off about DEA activity the whole time.

From a Mexican, not American, perspective - yes. The Mexican government itself, if you have ever lived in a border state, is corrupt to it's core and their idea of democracy is not at all like the U.S. I could tell you horror stories of what experiences many Arizonans have had while visiting Mexico......their policies with the Central American's crossing their borders is shoot on sight, and don't allow any non-Mexican to truly own land (simply lease) in Mexico, in order to protect their sovereignty. The people migrating here from Mexico are the citizens that Mexico itself doesn't want - the drug dealers, criminals and poor who contribute nothing to the Mexican government. Napolitano sacrifices her fellow Arizonans in order to protect the influx of the illegals for her campaign backers, the developers and hospitality industries, nothing more, as stated.

Interesting viewpoint, I heard she had a lot of insight into border issues with Mexico :) Sheri
