Obedience to the Lord: My Magnificent Defeat

Phill Farney
The Lord can humble you in a hurry let me tell ya. Ever since I have been remade, I have taken notice of all the things God does everyday. Both the good and the bad. He teaches us we must accept correction in order to grow in Him. We must be accountable for our actions. We must.

For me this is powerhouse. For we all know sin was my very nature for a large part of my life. I was like everyone else in that respect. I believed in God but in lip service only, for if I truly believed in the Truth I would have evolved sooner. I would have shown more respect to Our Lord, God. My shame is large for my ignorance was great.

Thankfully God has allowed me to step away from the middle and begin to understand how His wonder all works. He poured his spirit into and I know He is smiling now as it took in a big way. Jesus is awesome and his message is hitting home harder than ever. I now understand the true meaning of His name, Emmanuel. God is indeed with us at all times and pity the person who is blind to His presence.

When I finally gave up and let my heart be softened by God, I allowed my stubborn attitude to be defeated by God's love and everything changed instantly. I am not saying things automatically became easy for me, far from it. But now my soul is alive and on fire with the Holy Spirit. My old ways have to go and I have to bend at the knee and put my face on the ground and give it all to God, let Jesus be my guide. It is my most magnificent defeat for sure and losing never felt so much like winning.

God calls for us to be obedient to his commands and do so joyfully. This is not negotiable. Another big part of the mission is to go and be disciples, to build disciples. We have to go and tell everyone about the Gospel. Let people know why Jesus died for them and why God so dearly wants you to accept his love and ways. SO when we transcend this life we can see God's glory, We can touch Jesus face, we can kiss his lips and his feet. We can actually embrace our Lord and feel his warmth.

We can also feel his embrace here on earth, we can feel His glorious warmth and protection right now. But we have to follow his ways.

So often people wonder why disasters strike and why do people die horrible deaths, where is God then? But if you look closely He is right int he middle of it all. God controls it all my friends. He may bring his fury against sinners by sending a Hurricane or a tornado or a flood. It is a wake up call. God trashed his beloved people, Israel for their sins and turning away from Him. What makes us so arrogant to think He would not do the same to us? For we deserve it.

But in these tragedies God also shows his love and rescues people miraculously for they are still his children and God knows who you are and what you are. Sometimes God takes people to shield them from future horrors. His best of the flock, he does not want to see harm to them.

But most of all we just don't see the whole picture God does. We do not know how He is playing it, what the game plan is, thats why its called faith. We have to have trust in Him and let Him Guide us and protest us. W have to lose control and allow the King of all Kings have the reigns.

Nice article. Yes, God knows our tomorrow. He knows how this thing will end, and He knows how to get it there. Well done. God bless...
