Oberon Makes Leather Journals for Every Writer and Every Occasion

I happened upon a product made by the Oberon company when I bought a leather check book holder a number of years back. I was looking for a sturdy and unique one but I figured there was no rush to get it. Then I went into a little store in Santa Cruz, California just to browse one day while I was at the beach. Sitting on a counter were these exquisite embossed leather check book covers which turned out to be made by the Oberon company in Northern California. The check book cover has lasted for years, no problem.

I looked into Oberon and found out they make a number of products ranging from check book covers, to beautiful pewter barrettes, money clips and bookmarks. Now they also carry handbags, wallets and pendants. Then I found the Oberon writing journals. I was hooked.

Oberon are the singularly most exquisite writing journals I have ever run across anywhere and I travel. The attention to detail is just amazing. The leather is embossed in a number of deeply detailed designs ranging from trees and Celtic designs to animals, nature, and mythical.

They also have a line of icon journals that have the design in the middle of the front cover. Those are gorgeous too, but I prefer the classic ones. They are embossed on front and back. They don't skimp on detail.

Every journal comes with a pewter front knob and a leather cord tie that you simply wrap around the pewter knob. I have never had to tie mine. They stay in place. Every pewter knob is as beautiful as the journal and they match each theme. The sea theme has a knob with waves, the oak tree design has matching oak leaves and an acorn and so forth.

They are available in a variety of colours with each design too from browns black to red, green or blue.

They come in three available sizes, a small 5"x7", a large 6"x9" and an extra-large 9"x12". They have a refillable white paper insert which is hardbound so it can stand on its own on a bookshelf or desk. They come with a line guide too since the paper is unlined. What is really nice about that is if the user is also an artist, they can sketch or draw along with the writing or just use them for sketching ideas.

Oberon Journals are perfect for writers, journaling, artists and diaries.

They are somewhat expensive, but worth every penny. If you are looking for a very unique gift that will really last look into Oberon Journals. These would be great for anything from birthdays to a new job, to Mother's or Father's Day or for graduation. They would even be a great way to journal daily as a gift for your children when they get older or to give as a great new Mom or Dad gift fro journaling about their new baby. You can always buy one for yourself, that is if you can limit yourself to just one.

Don't forget the younger writers either. I am sure these beautiful Oberon journals would inspire any writer to fill the pages. I know they have inspired me to fill the pages.

I have three of the 6"x9" journals. One is the red sunshine and two different oak themed ones. Next time I would like to try one of the larger 9"x12" journals with the wolf pattern in red or Celtic knots in blue.

I also have one of their barrettes and my check book cover. I couldn't be happier with their products. Oberon Journals even feel nice in your hands. The leather feels solid and rich to the touch
