Ocean Spray Cranberry Orange Muffin Oatmeal Review

Great Cranberry Flavor with Subtle Orange Taste

Landra Lynn Jacobs

To stay healthy, I try to incorporate at least one bowl of oatmeal into my daily meals on a regular basis. After a while, the traditional flavors get boring and adding fresh fruit gets expensive. That is why I was incredibly excited to see Ocean Spray Cranberry Orange Muffin Oatmeal at my local supermarket!

If you are looking for the same taste as a cranberry orange bakery muffin, you will probably be disappointed. However, this oatmeal mix has a rich cranberry flavor with just a hint of orange. In fact, I was almost surprised that the orange was as subtle as it was. The cranberries plumped up nicely from their dried state after cooking.

Nutritionally speaking, the 13 grams of sugar in this breakfast mix seems a little high for oatmeal. (However, many Quaker varieties have even higher.) The 5 grams of protein was an added bonus.

Cooking was as easy as expected with instant oatmeal. Hot water or milk is needed, whether heated first on the stove or completed in the microwave. A bit of skim milk on the top and a sprinkling of almonds made this the perfect breakfast treat.
