Chocolate Covered Insects for the Faint of Heart

If you are not quite up to consuming real chocolate covered insects, there is an alternative available. Gummy worms and other insect candies can be dipped in chocolate and enjoyed in lieu of the real deal.

Another option is chocolate candy shaped like bugs. The chocolates can be purchased from a source such as Munchies, already made, or made from scratch at home. Candy molds are made for just such a thing, with one source being Get Suckered.

Regardless of the option used, National Chocolate Covered Insect Day is one more reason (or excuse) to indulge in chocolate.
