October 2010 Rising Star Award Winners

Congratulations to our Rising Star Award winners for October, 2010! These newer Contributors were up to the challenge of succeeding with a brand new publishing platform and sharing their knowledge with the world. This month's group of Rising Stars demonstrated both talent and focus in publishing lots of content rapidly and with great results.

Vanessa Evans became a Contributor in August and immediately knocked it out of the park with her writing and pageviews. She's been featured repeatedly on Yahoo! News and participated in special Detroit area local news projects. Vanessa's content has attracted over 78,000 page views so far, earning her a Hot 500 badge and a Clout level of 8. Clayton Browne also joined the AC community in August. His sharp sports content stands out and has garnered over 62,000 views. Linda Rogacki has been a member of the AC community since July. She's a Featured Travel Contributor and stands out for her coverage of the Poconos, Pennsylvania area, where she resides. With nearly 12,000 page views, Linda is at Clout level 5. When she's not writing about local attractions, Linda often covers politics, news, and even crafting. Anyone who's ever lived with backyard wildlife will get a chuckle out of Linda's close encounter with a friendly eight point buck. Don't forget to expand the one of a kind photo!

Jean Kelly became an AC Contributor in September and has made the most of just a couple of short months in our community. She's a diverse writer, covering everything from cooking to news to personal finance. Recently, she even uploaded her first original video. Heather Braegger has been a Contributor since this August. As a Featured Parenting Contributor, she's explored topics ranging from food allergies to fatherhood.
