A Poem for Autumn

Jean Davis
The days are becomming shorter. There's a bit of a chill in the air.

A fall breeze blows and it's snowing leaves--everywhere.

The Harvest is in. See the giant orange pumpkins and multicolor Indian corn?

Time to prepare for the Winter ahead.Soon we'll wake to a frosty morn.

Be sure to enjoy all the beautiful colors.Seems like the whole world has a golden glow.

The trees dress in their very best while God smiles down on them below.

It's almost time for them to go to sleep. They have fulfilled their purpose for the season.

They'll awake in the Spring while the bluebirds sing. It's not without ryme or reason.

This is a very definite cycle repeated year after year.

Be sure to enjoy each season to the fullest in the limited time you are here.
