Fall in New England is full of festivals, bazaars, hayrides, pumpkin and apple picking, and more recently corn mazes. Rhode Island has taken these traditions to heart and October kicks off the holiday season with festive harvest fun and spooky Halloween shenanigans. Spend some quality time with your family, friends, and significant others enjoying the crisp Rhode Island air, colorful foliage, and warm memories you'll have for a lifetime.
Harvest time gets everyone in the mood for wholesome fresh food, warm drinks, cozy sweaters and a last surge of outdoor activity before the harshness of winter settles in. Farmers markets and roadside stands offer the best of seasonal goodies. Apples, pumpkins, gourds, squashes and fancy flowers are in abundance.
Another area fall staple are art festivals and craft fairs. Unique one of a kind gifts of all sizes, types, and price points can be found at these events. Attend one or several and get a head start on your holiday shopping.
