Fall Flower Shows, Fall Festivals, Live Music, Halloween Activities, and More Fun in the Tri-state

Fall festivals, Halloween attractions, antique festivals, fall flower shows, art shows, and other seasonal activities abound throughout Cincinnati, Ohio this October 2007.

Enjoy fall flowers throughout this October at Krohn Conservatory's annual Fall Flower Show, A Garden Mosaic. The fall flower show, presented by National City, is open daily at Cincinnati's historic conservatory in Eden Park. More fall flowers are featured at the Sunflower Festival at Gorman Heritage Farm in Evendale on Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7 from 10am to 4pm.

Autumn is festival season and fall festivals, antique festivals and more abound throughout the Cincinnati area in October. Newport Kentucky's Taste of the Levee Fall Festival offers live music, food items for $3 or less from over a dozen restaurants, beer vendors, and street performers on Saturday October 6 between 11am and 9:30pm. The Circleville Pumpkin Festival begins with the Pumpkin Show Band at 7pm on Tuesday October 16 and offers continuous live music, craft demonstrations, juggling, and many other activities through Sunday, October 20, 2007.

The Lebanon Antique Show features 65 dealers on October 6 and 7 at Bowman Primary School. The Sharonville Convention Center presents 45 dealers at the 42nd Cincinnati Antiques Festival the weekend of October 19 through 21. Artists showcase their artwork outside at the annual Hyde Park Square Art Show outside on Hyde Park Square on Sunday October 7. Craft shows this month include the Greater Cincinnati Art and Craft Show at the Sharonville Convention Center on Halloween Wednesday and the Contemporary Quilt and Fiber Artist Weekend Quilt Show at the Cincinnati Nature Center the last weekend of October.

Cincinnati and its surrounding Midwest cornfields create a spooky atmosphere for haunted houses each Halloween season. Popular Cincinnati haunted houses include The Dent Haunted Schoolhouse in Harrison, sponsored by radio station WEBN 102.7, St. Rita Haunted House benefiting St. Rita School for the Deaf, the intense and spooky Land of Illusion in Middletown, Ohio and many more. Cincinnati's popular amusement park Kings Island is open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm to 1am for Halloween Haunt with not only their best thrill rides and roller coasters running, but monsters, clowns, zombies, and more terrors that chase and haunt visitors.

Many harvest season and Halloween events throughout Cincinnati are catered to children. Nick or Treat is the kid friendly event on weekends in October at Kings Island until 5pm. Winton Woods offers Halloween Nights at Parky's Farm from October 12 through 30. Saturday October 27, the MainStrasse Village Kids' Halloween Party takes place in Covington, Kentucky.

Live music packs the Cincinnati calendar this October at various venues throughout the tri-state area. October's highlight is Bob Dylan at Taft Theatre on Monday October 15. The following Tuesday, October 22, Black Crowes also perform at the Taft Theatre. Southeastern Indiana's Belterra Casino showcases David Crosby and Graham Nash on Saturday October 6, 2007. American Idol's Elliot Yamin sings at Bogart's on Tuesday October 9. Across the Ohio River in Northern Kentucky, Covington's Madison Theater offers performances from Bad Religion on Wednesday October 10, Nickel Creek on Friday October 19, and the Jam band Government Mule on Saturday October 27, 2007.

Fall festivals, haunted houses, fall flower shows, antique and craft festivals, art shows, live music, and more fun activities are abundant throughout the Cincinnati tri-state area this 2007 Halloween season.
