October and Pumpkins - A Halloween Poem

Dutch deC

Poems n Pumpkins

Grandma called me

this evening

to finish up the

puckin carving

Grandma never said it right

Always Puckin

never Pumpkin

She always grew a few out

back

But always waited till

October to

hack 'em away.

Grandma always said

a pumpkin pie on

Halloween better then any

candy a person could

buy.

If there was seeds for

poppin, and pans for roastin

She popped em and told us

it was

Candy Corn.

Up until I was

12 years old

I thought candy corn

was brown ~ till I saw it

in my teachers drawer

a mighty yellow

not brown.

We could write poems on here? cool! Did you get paid for this, how much?

If so, I'm gonna start submitting poetry too!

Love this! Can't wait for Halloween!! I don't much like candy corn, though.
