October Road: About Hannah Daniels

Amber A.
While we learned many things from the first four episodes of the new hit ABC series October Road, the main reason for the first six episodes was to introduce you, the watcher, to the characters and see where they fit in. The viewers met many characters on the first six episodes and hopefully will be learning more about them in future episodes next season.

At the beginning of the season, we met Nick Garrett who is the main character in the story. Nick's adventure of leaving his hometown and never returning, and then his homecoming 10 years later is the basis of this series. Before Nick left Knights Ridge, he was in love with his girlfriend Hannah Daniels. Nick decided when he was on a six week trip to not go back. Nick left all his friends, his girlfriend, and his whole life behind.

The first six episodes introduce the viewer to the different cast members and give the viewer an idea of what is going on in Knights Ridge. Hannah Daniels is one of the main characters in the series. Hannah is the long lost girlfriend of Nick Garrett, who is a single mother with a ten year old son. Hannah is currently involved with Ray "Big Cat" who used to be one of Nick's enemies in high school.

While you meet Hannah during the show, you may recognize her from other shows and movies that you have seen. Hannah is played by Laura Prepon. Laura grew up in Watchung, New Jersey with 4 brothers and sisters. Laura is the youngest in the family and started her acting career when she was only 15 years old.
Laura Prepon made her television debut on the long running sitcom "That 70's Show". Laura played Donna Pinciotti on "The 70's Show". Also Laura has appeared in a GAP commercial, and also on the cover of Maxim.

Laura Prepon has also played in numerous movies over the years. These movies include: "Come Early Morning" with Ashley Judd, "Slackers" with stars Jason Schwartzman and James King, main character in "Seven=Five," "The Pornographer: A Love Story," starring with Martin Donovan, "Karla" and the movie "Lightning Bug."

Laura is also no stranger behind the camera. She has directed her first short film "Abide with Me", which is going to be developed into a feature film in the future. Laura also worked as a producer when she started her own television show "E's Hollywood Hold' Em."

While Laura Prepon is not working on her acting career some of her favorite things to do are Horseback riding, gymnastics, dancing, ballet, tennis and golf. Laura also herself plays the piano in her spare time.

As viewers watch the rest of the October Road series, we are destined to see Laura Prepon grow as a Knights Ridge character. It is destined that we will also see some more films and productions with her name on them. If you are an October Road fan, be sure to check out the other characters bios to meet all the characters.
