OctoMom Nadya Suleman: How Safe Are the Octuplets?

Is She Placing the Octuplets, the Entire Family at Risk?

Saul Relative
Everyone by now has seen the disturbing pictures and videos of paparazzi literally mobbing the vehicle transporting the first two octuplet babies when they arrived at the home leased for them by OctoMom Nadya Suleman. Not only was it a melee around the vehicle, but also around the house. There were reports of damage done to the house itself. And the OctoMom called the police twice.

And if that wasn't unnerving enough, there have been reports of intruders seen on the La Habra, California, property.

This has prompted Gloria Allred, attorney for the nonprofit nursing organization Angels in Waiting, to raise questions of security regarding the octuplets, Nadya Suleman's other six children, the nurses and nannies that are helping take care of the children, and the OctoMom herself.

The matter of better security for the OctoMom and her children came to the fore after Nadya Suleman publicly fired last week the Angels in Waiting nurses that were providing child care for her for free. In several interviews, Gloria Allred and Linda West-Conforti, the founder of Angels in Waiting, spoke about the safety of the Suleman family and their property.

Nadya Suleman, in an interview on Radar Online, dismissed the statements as exaggeration, telling the interviewer that she had asked one of the nurses to call the police after she had heard a lot noise in the back yard. She said there was no intruder as was claimed. She also said she had a "friend" who was "working on" providing security for her family.

Gloria Allred, appearing on "Showbiz Tonight," said that Nadya Suleman needs to get security immediately. She said that there had been reports of three intruders on the Suleman property.

And none of this involves the death threats that the OctoMom, her publicists, and others associated with Nadya Suleman have received over the past few weeks. One of Suleman's publicists resigned because of the nature of the threats being directed at her and her company.

Nadya Suleman's seeming carefree attitude toward her family's safety, although she told Radar Online that security "takes precedence," is a little disproportionate to the reality of her situation. Intruders. A horde of reporters and paparazzi intent on stories and a good picture. Gawkers. Death threats. Dozens of people who may or may not be what they seem to be and who might pose a potential threat or danger to anyone associated with the OctoMom's family - all just a few feet from her front door.

And what about simple security measures necessary to ensure everyone's safety, but especially the octuplets and other children, from the horde of crushing paparazzi?

"Working on" security for her household does not seem to be a good enough answer for someone responsible for the well-being of 14 small lives, all of which have now become high-profile small lives. And Nadya Suleman's overall lackadaisical attitude toward everything in her life, as if she really does not have much of a care in the world, seems to point toward the "Pollyanna Disconnect" from which Dr. Phil McGraw suggested the OctoMom might suffer.

The OctoMom seems to truly have a reality disconnect. Gloria Allred, who once threatened to initiate proceedings to have Suleman's children taken away from her by child protective services if the situation seemed to merit it, has stated that she is not currently thinking of taking action.

For the sake of those 14 children, Allred may want to rethink her position on the matter. Because it is too late after something happens...

Think about it-Kaiser who has a vested interest in the babies health would NOT send over uncleared NANNIES. They are using their titles as nurses like they know everything and you should believe everything they are spewing.

I had triplet babies who came home fragile with monitors. I don't see any of these babies hooked up to such. They are just prone to RSV-of which all babies are prone too during the season.

This woman made some dumb choices in having all those babies. But they are here. I feel that she should be watched by CPS but not necessarily have the children removed. The older kids teachers all say that they are wonderful kids-that doesn't just happen.

As for safety-she should have an alarm system and lights that motion/flood the property should someone come onto the property.

I question the motives of Gloria & her AIW GOON squad. They had an agenda BEFORE they went in there and success was theirs in creating publicity for them and Gloria. In one week they filed 3 reports. I caught the first lie on Phils show by Conforti and I would fire anyone who told me my babies could fit in her purse. My mom radar would tell me that person is sick. TB? Oh my, as a "nurse" AIW should know the difference between carrier,as in exposed without the disease and someone in treatment for the disease. Think about it-Kaiser who has a vested interest in the babies health would NOT send ov

I have concerns about the mother and babies myself but don't know the situation thoroughly. Thanks for the update.
