Octomom Trots Off to Disneyland and Infuriates California Taxpayers

It's no secret that the Octomom, Nadya Suleman, had caused a public outcry. By now, most people across the country are familiar with the story of Suleman, who is gave birth recently to the longest surviving set of octuplets, and who also has six young children besides. The fact that the Octomom is unemployed and living off of taxpayer's money, despite the fact that she paid a large sum of money for fertility treatments, has many people fuming. Understandably, California taxpayers are particularly frustrated and angry that their hard earned money is taken and distributed to the Octomom in the form of disability payments and food stamps.

To add fuel to the fire, Octomom Nadya Suleman was spotted last weekend at both Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland with some of her older children. According to reports on public message forums visited by those who actually saw the Octomom out at the California amusement parks with her children, the Octomom was seen spending huge sums of money. One person claimed to have also seen the Octomom spend in excess of one thousand dollars on makeup!

Other people who left comments on public message forums regarding the Octomom and her Disneyland visit, were genuinely angered by the fact that their tax money is going to support Nadya Suleman, when they themselves cannot afford extravagances such as trips to Disneyland themselves, even though they are actually working for their money, unlike the Octomom. It is understandable that these individuals would be outraged that the Octomom seemingly gets to do fun things like visit Disneyland on their dime, when they themselves are struggling just to afford necessities.

It doesn't seem that people, including California taxpayers, are hostile towards the Octomom's children. Nobody wants to keep children from having a fun experience, such as visiting Disneyland. Instead, the frustration lies with the fact that apparently the Octomom pays for these extravagances with money that California taxpayers themselves have to give up, even though they need the money for their own families. It's difficult for the same taxpayers to watch the Octomom spend excessive amounts of money on things like trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, when many cannot afford to do the same. In fact, many of those same people whose taxes are being taken and drawn from by the Octomom, could not even afford to do Disneyland on even the most conservative budget.

The unemployment rate in California is currently one of the highest in the nation, as is the rate of home foreclosures. Taxpayers in California have had to wait for any state tax refunds this year, and some will not get their owed refund at all. Additionally, there are many California taxpayers who are still working but have lost their homes and are homeless. So it's no wonder that they would be furious over the fact that the Octomom doesn't work, and chooses to have far more children than she can financially care for, but still finds the money to spend excessive amounts of money at Disneyland.
