Odds to Win Super Bowl XLV: Las Vegas Odds of Four Remaining NFL Teams

With Patriots Out Who is New Favorite to Win Super Bowl?

Todd Jacobs
The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook has released the adjusted lines for the 2011 Super Bowl XLV to be held in Arlington, Texas, on February 6th. With only four teams remaining eligible to win the 2011 Super Bowl the pickings are slim when it comes to finding a live dog.

The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook and most Las Vegas casinos are attempting to limit their liability for the Super Bowl. The Green Bay Packers received the most action over the year which may be one of the reasons for a reduction in the current AFC vs NFC Super Bowl proposition bets.

The current line of AFC vs NFC show the AFC as a slim one point favorite in the Super Bowl. This line has dropped from the three point spread of the last several weeks. The following are the four remaining contenders and their current odds and chances to win. Remember placing a wager in this spot comes down to value and the possibility of a future hedge bet.

Chicago Bears 11-2 to win 2011 Super Bowl

The Chicago Bears were the unlikely number two seed in the NFL Playoffs and now they host the NFL Conference game. In their last game against the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers they held the Packers to ten points and they frustrated Rodgers in the loss.

Do they have what it takes to beat the hottest team in the NFL Playoffs? I have already picked against them for the NFC Championship game but they are a great hedge bet at 11-2 just in case. Take the Chicago Bears as a hedge bet at 11-2 to win Super Bowl XLV.

New York Jets 7-2 to win 2011 Super Bowl

I also picked against the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game but they are a perfect bet in this spot at 7-2. Rex Ryan and his rag tag group of defensive heroes and offensive outcasts have a chance to win the AFC Championship game and advance to and win Super Bowl XLV. Set up a second hedge bet against the straight bets on the other side and play the New York Jets at 7-2 to win Super Bowl XLV.

Green Bay Packers 8-5 to win 2011 Super Bowl

The Green Bay Packers are a road favorite over the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship game and all indicators are point towards a close win for the Green Bay Packers. At 8-5 to to win the Super Bowl the Green Bay Packers are not worth action for the price. Pass on this bet and take the Green Bay Packers -3 to cover and beat the Chicago Bears.

Pittsburgh Steelers 9-5 to win Super Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers are also a prohibitive favorite to win the Super Bowl now and it does not make sense to place this wager at this time. The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a rough game against the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game but they will prevail and advance to the Super Bowl. The best bet is to take the Pittsburgh Steelers -3 over the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game and also bet the AFC -1 over the NFC to win Super Bowl XLV.
