Ode to Coffee
Coffee.
Thick, blackened,
nectar
of the Gods,
of life.
Once,
but a sip of you
curdled
a young face to rigor -
now drunk daily, to exist
without
you is Hell
defined;
but a day with
your warm,
wet,
bitter,
love?
Heaven.
