A Dog Poem to Celebrate National Dog Day on August 26
Furry, friendly, thick with fleas
Chasing cats into the trees
Running round the yard out back
Lie down in the shade to nap
Wake up to a summer breeze
Lift that leg and take a pee
Come here boy and eat these scraps
Hope those bones don't make you yak
Licking, barking, nudging me
Doggy, doggy, we love thee
