Ode to a Field of Sunflowers

My Ode Poem to a Field of Sunflowers

Marie M. Daniels
I was driving and a field of sunflowers caught my attention. I thought it was neat because it is not something you see normally in my town. Passed the sunflower field again and knew I had to take a picture of it. Now I have this beautiful picture I needed something to go with it. I thought, why not an ode? So I tried my hand at writing an ode poem to a field of Sunflowers.

Ode to a Sunflower Field:

Sunflowers rising towards the hot Sun.
Frolic in the wind and sway in the cool breeze.
A field of sunflowers, I want to run.
At least these sunflowers don't make me sneeze.
The sunflower field, lunchtime picnic fun.
This sunflower field was grown from just seeds.
The field was empty and I heard a scream.
All is well, it was only a dream.
Next year, I promise to pull all your weeds.
