Ode to Pinky

Harold Dean Sink
Those of you whom have written
Odes of one's self or of others
Who have left us so long ago,
Never have heard of Pinky the horse.

A new breed of horse came to be,
Nevertheless, on that faithful day.
A horse as pink as pink could be
Dawned a new era few would ever see.
A rancher was blessed by God,
Receiving a colt for his son.
Kindness of a new kind was born
On that faithful morn.

One horse made a difference, but not on purpose did he.
Kids enjoyed meeting him, and Pinky the horse will forever be.
