Oh ruler of mine,
You really measure up to me.
You stand so very tall.
Would you be wood instead of plastic.
And yet, I know every inch of you.
Flexible when I bend you,
Never feeling tense,
I shall let you be my guide
Along the straight and narrow path
Of my blank sheet of paper.
I thank all twelve inches of you
Everyday!
You really measure up to me.
You stand so very tall.
Would you be wood instead of plastic.
And yet, I know every inch of you.
Flexible when I bend you,
Never feeling tense,
I shall let you be my guide
Along the straight and narrow path
Of my blank sheet of paper.
I thank all twelve inches of you
Everyday!
