Ode to Tierra Mia's Original Drink: The Horchata Frape

Jose Zuniga
Flavor explosion,

Brain freeze? Yes, the brain froze

In awe and admiration, unable to

Grasp a sea of unexplored tastes

And sensations, the eyes, oh

Were attacked from all sides, couldn't

Escape the tears and the nose-poor nose!-

Cinnamon floating in a sea of frosting,

A soothing breeze of chill to the tongue

And it would not end there.

Time stopped.

Midgets got to see the end of the rainbow

And it was pretty and full of gold

And it woke the princess from her slumber-

It broke free the imagination to what the world

Could hold! For ten seconds, pleasure un-surmounted,

More, more! Until the evil straw drew in its last breath

In slurpy, churpy complaints...it was gone...my land,

Mi tierra, but I will return again some day.
