Price and Availability
I found this health drink at Kroger. A 15.2 fluid-ounce bottle cost around two bucks. You can also find Odwalla Protein Monster - Vanilla Protein - Soy and Dairy Protein Shake at places like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Safeway, Save Mart and Raley's. The Odwalla website has a product locator you can use.

Nutrition Facts
A serving size of Odwalla Protein Monster - Vanilla Protein - Soy and Dairy Protein Shake is 8 fluid ounces. There are about 2 servings in a container. One serving contains a whopping 200 calories, 30 from fat. It contains 3.5 grams fat, 0.5 grams saturated fat, 5 milligrams cholesterol, 130 milligrams sodium, 340 milligrams potassium, 24 grams total carbohydrates, 23 grams sugars and 18 grams protein. It also contains calcium, iron, zinc and copper.
Taste Test and Conclusion
Odwalla Protein Monster - Vanilla Protein - Soy and Dairy Protein Shake doesn't taste bad. It does kind of taste like a vanilla milk shake. I can taste the soy, so if you don't like soy... The taste is a good thing. If you drink the whole bottle, (which would be easy to do, being slightly more than a can of soda), you'll add a lot of protein to your body- 33 grams! That's another good thing.
Now for the bad things. Drink a Odwalla Protein Monster - Vanilla Protein - Soy and Dairy Protein Shake, and you'll take in 400 calories and 46 grams of sugar! I checked my milk carton. If I drink 16 ounces of milk, I'll consume 240 calories, only 22 grams of sugar, and I'll still get 16 grams of protein. Only half as much protein as the Odwalla Protein Monster - Vanilla Protein - Soy and Dairy Protein Shake contains. But a lot less calories and sugar. Think I'll stick to milk. For the two bucks this product costs for a 15.2 fluid ounce bottle, I can buy an entire gallon of milk on sale too.

Post a Comment@Sharon I just finished a bottle and found the same junk at the bottom as well. The bottle says enjoy by 4-13-12, but as soon as I noticed the surprise my heart sunk. I really hope I don't have to go through what you did. I've drink this shake a lot after my workouts and this time I noticed that the bottle didn't have the same constituency as the other ones. They're usually a slight graininess to the beverage, though nothing compared to ones with whey protein. I'll update if I, too, grow ill from this drink. -Rob C., Princeton, NJ
When I finished my bottle of Odwalla Protein Monster I found some thick, strips of product on the bottom of the bottle like curdled milk. Was it? It was not out of date and always refrigerated. It caused quite a gastric stir. Se from Minnesota
Great review, Kassidy. You covered everything! I've never tried this thing, though I like Lactasoy a lot. Sugar is my bane! :o)
This shake seems a bit high in calories and sugar but I might use this on occasion to get protein and perhaps to add some calories to my son's diet. :)
Way too many calories for me. Great review!!
;)
Yikes, yeah, the calories and sugar would be too much for me too. Thanks for the review of this product :)
I like all of the Odwalla drink products but their bars are too sweet for my taste. Good review.
I've seen these and I always avoid them like the plague because of the whopping amount of sugars and calories in each bottle!

Thanks for the review...my husband drinks protein shakes. I don't think he's ever tried this one though.
