Of Thee I Sing

You are my country

Though you reject me

Because I am of darker hue.

The land of my birth

The only home I know

You will be saddened

If I ever go away

For you have forgotten

All the things

I have done for you.

I fought your wars

And tilled your land

Just to name a few.

My country the land

I love, embrace me

For I am a part of you.
