W. Owl of the Animal Gazette Press Reporting
The woodland creatures looked up at him.
Mrs. Squirrel's three little boys made unpleasant sounds.
"Order," cried old Beaver, looking grim.
"Order!" Mocking Bird whistled and pinged.
Rita Robin preened, then tried to look prim.
Mother Duck fussed with her ducklings
Who wanted to go for a swim.
Beaver started with, "Now look ahere, members of the press,
The President isn't happy about your coverage of these meetings
About the Health care Bill - I guess
When people get to venting their feelings.
Reporter W. Owl (that's me) ruffled his feathers and hooted.
"I print what citizens say, yes!
This IS the land of the free where our history is rooted."
Garden Snake slithered and hissed.
His forked tongue flickered. "Why fusss and think?
Jussst acccept it. Sssilence isss sssuch blisss.
Quiet watersss make a peaccceful drink..."
"Oh yeah," Papa Squirrel bristled and pattered.
Well, if that health bill is so great,
Why do they say Congress is immune to its provisions," he chattered.
POP! Owl's camera flashed (that's me, again.) "It's getting late,"
Beaver said. "Bye - until next week, same time, same place."
The ducklings headed for the lake and Mama duck's eyes gleamed.
Mama Squirrel's three boys scamperred away in haste
Mama Squirrel chasing and scolding in their wake.
