Off the Wall Eatery is not only restaurant, but also gallery for local artists-and the art is pretty good. Aside from their support of local art, the owner and servers are all fantastically cordial. Being that I was a waitress for a very long time, I place a lot of value on good service. Here, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Service is quick, and smiles abound.
Back to the food: all I can say is that it is positively fantastic. I can only claim to have tried a couple things on the menu. Make no mistake, however, this is only the case because I have fallen in love... with biscuits and gravy. My love affair with this breakfast favorite has been long-running, but it was a mere fling, an immature romance until I came to this little establishment.
I don't know what they put in it, but the gravy is flavorful and not starchy or particularly heavy (as gravy goes). The biscuits are a home run as well. Again, I have no idea how they make them, but I would kill to get my hands on the recipe. They're moist, flavorful, and compliment the gravy perfectly. I would also like to make it a point to mention the potatoes-savory redskins deliciously seasoned and fried up on the side.
I'll mention that the breakfast burrito is fantastic, and I've seen the corned beef hash at other tables (and it looked fabulous), but I'll never order anything other than the biscuits and gravy. It truly is the best breakfast in town. Sure, I love Bob Evan's, but this place takes the cake with no contest. Why? Because the portions are tremendous, everything on the menu is incredibly affordable, and the food is far better (perhaps it's the love). The restaurant also serves lunch, and the menu looks equally amazing.
If you're looking for a new spot to get your morning fix, then visit Off the Wall Eatery. I'll probably never get breakfast anywhere else.
