In 2000 Offerdahl's Cafe Grill opened Point, Florida. It's one of 9 Offerdahl's in Florida. We are lucky enough to live about 5 minutes from it. Offerdahl's is a wonderful place to grab a great breakfast, stop in for a delicious lunch or eat dinner . You can eat outside, there are 6 tables, three under umbrellas. You can eat inside if you prefer air conditioning. They are open 7 days a week. Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m until 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 7a.m. until 4 p.m. The Offerdahl's chain is named after Johnny Offerdahl, a well known Dolphin 's team football player and his wife. You can see his pictures all over the walls. Around Christmas there is usually a Dolphins helmet filled with goodies you can buy as a gift. Recently he had a contest running for tickets to the skybox for the Dec 30 game or 4 games packages with to club level tickets and a pre game visit with Johnny himself.

The breakfast selection includes big, fresh baked bagels in a variety of flavors. They have Plain, Salt, Pumpernickel, Cinnamon Raisin, Cinnamon Sugar, Cheese, Fruit 'N Nut, Onion, Sesame, Salt, 8 Grain and my favorite Everything bagel. You can get bagels and Nova, scrambled eggs, yogurt with fruit, a fresh fruit cup , great coffee and an assortment of bakery good. They offer Croissants, Baguettes, pastries and huge muffins. Along with the bagels you can choose from spreads. They offer Whipped Cream Cheese, Plain , Vegetable Cream Cheese, Scallion, Strawberry, Maple Walnut, Tomato Pesto and Homemade Roasted Garlic. You can also opt for Hummus (delicious) or Honey and Honey butter. I always try to get there before the Everything Bagels run out.

Their salads come in enormous bowls and have wonderful ingredients like Craisins, Feta Cheese , nuts and very fresh greens and bean sprouts. I'm a lunch regular and get those wonderful salads or the bagel with Hummus. They make some incredible malted like drinks that include 4 scoops of ice cream and coffee. Another one of my favorite things. This is a great place to go for lunch and bring the children since they have such a healthy selection of fruits, yougurts and drinks as well as good salads and more sophisticated ingredients for adults.

Dinner is delicious as well. You can get great fire grilled steak, salmon or chicken on pasta , rice or on a salad. All sauces and salad dressings are home made. Home made soups are also available with selections changing daily. The steak is very tasty, my husband is fond of the Salmon.

Offerdahl's offers catering. You can choose any entree from their menu, salads or fruit bowls that will feed 4, 8 or 12 people, any sandwiches on the menu (feeds 8-16) and desserts or assorted cookie platters for 16-24 people. You can get catered breakfast with thier big bagels, choice of spreads, pastries and muffins. He caters Footy, the emcee of a local radio show.Footy mentions Offerdahl's regularly raving about their Cranberry muffins.

Offerdahl's is a bright, lean cheery place with wrap around windows. They offer daily newspapers and some magazines, free refills on coffee and drinks, a wonderful selection of healthy foods and a very friendly wait staff.
