Office Decor: What Can Be

Office décor can come in a variety of different types. The décor for the office is based on the space, usage and personal taste of the business or the person who has the office. Each particular office décor may have some similar basic things in it, such as same type of chair or maybe table included.

The professional office décor is usually done for more business type offices. A chair that is less colorful and leather material based is used frequently. There are sometimes modern décor that the business may wish to have. The walls may have little on them besides a few paintings, degrees or awards. The desk maybe wooden or metal depending on whether they go more traditional or more modern with their décor and will vary by business preference. A glass top could also be used for placement over a table to give it a certain professional look.

A modern office décor is becoming more and more popular. The modern décor is used because it is often space friendly and gives more of a straight-line edge to the office space. Chairs are often made of metal with a straight back and tables are squarer shaped, metal and very long legged. Shelves or any other type of furniture put in are black, gray, white or very bold primary colors. If anything is put on the walls, it is usually modern art, pictures, patterns or perhaps just painted walls of primary colors.

A traditional type of office décor consists with a lot of wooden furniture and leather material. The desks are made of cherry wood or oak perhaps and are normally rectangular in shape; sometimes they are thin in nature and sometimes more wide. The chairs in a traditional type of office décor are leather based or even just wooden and are long in the backs, sometimes short. There are traditional colors that are not too bold and other items placed in the office are more small and practical.

A home office décor is based on practicality, budget, space and personal taste. Depending on what size room or rooms are being used for the home office can dictate what furniture or items can be used. Often personal pictures or other items of sentimental value are placed on the desk or the walls of the office. The color scheme can range from a pattern of wallpaper to a pattern of paint on the walls. Placement of a computer or other items needed are organized into the person's certain preference.

Each of these different types of office décor all have some form of table or desk included. The table or desk can be different in shape, color, function or type. A chair may or may not be included with a certain décor. However, the home office décor can have any or all these other decors included in the space. In an office the décor is based strongly on the needs of the business and what type, in a home office it is based on the needs of the business and what is a personal preference for the individual who owns the office.
