Oh Baby

Pauline Abreu

You came like a breeze into my life.

It was so unexpected that I would become your wife.

Nothing else matters when I'm here in your arms.

I succumb to your ways and submit to your charms.

Come to me now, you look so divine.

I am yours and you will always be mine.

Just look at my face, what do you see?

I see beauty, and kindness and that's how it should be.

Something tells me that you're here forever.

If you were to leave, I would cry a river.

Stop and look at what we have here.

I'll take care of you and hold you dear.

For you there is always a place in my heart.

If you were to go, I could never make a new start.

I wouldn't want a life without you.

It would be sad and dull, I know your's would be too.

Remember these words as clear as can be.

You are my hero and you mean the world to me.

Count your blessings and be very aware.

Because when we're together people will stop and stare.

Wonderful poem, Pauline. I especially love the part about his life being duller, too.
